I was finally back.

Taking my first whiff of the warm air of South Korea memories of my life here six years ago felt alive again. Some I wish I had forgotten more than others.

I had almost forgotten about the hustle and bustle nature of South Korea. After being so acquainted with the carefree essence of Australia I had come to appreciate the well structured and systematic nature of Korea. Everywhere I looked there were business people, school children and teenagers walking briskly to the station eager to get home.

It won't be long until I'll be one of them I thought with a smile.

Checking the time on my phone I saw that my Aunt was suppose to pick me up ten minutes ago. Standing awkwardly in the middle of Busan station I began looking around to check whether she was already here.

I played nervously with the hem on my grey hoodie as my eyes scanned through the sea of grey and black clothing. Suddenly there was an eruption of cheers and screams coming from the back entrance of the station. The noise captured the attention of everyone in the station and we looked over to see the cause of the racket.

From what I could see there was a large crowd being squeezed through the small frame of the back door. Looking closer I noticed that there were security guards shielding a group from a horde of girl who were waving their phones and hands in the air. And then it clicked.

The group being hidden by the guards must be idols.

Curiously, I walked a little closer to the group to see whether I recognised the idols or not.

"Is that Seventeen?!" a girl squealed from my left, tightly clutching her friends arm. I watched as they ran towards them and dissolved into the crowd of fans.

No way.

And that's when I saw him.

His bleached pink hair made him stand out among the other members. It contrasted against his pale skin and made him look more youthful. When I had first met him his hair was still a natural black colour. But that was a long time ago.

"Nari, is that you?!"

Tearing my gaze away from the boy who was once my whole world I turned around and was greeted by my Aunts bright smile.

"Imo!" I cried out, embracing her in a tight hug.

"I can't believe you're finally back, I've missed you so much," she said kissing my forehead.

"I've missed you so much too!"

"Let's talk more once we get home, Imobu and Yeong are waiting in the car for us," she grabbed my suitcase and began scurrying towards the exit of the station.

Before taking a step, I glanced back at Seventeen to look for him again one last time. Ours locked eyes for a microsecond and I could see the flash of surprise cross his face.

Did he recognise me?

"Nari, what's wrong?" my Aunt called from a short distance.

"Nothing, I'm coming," I stole a glance at him just before he was hidden behind the guards and turned around to jog towards the exit.

It had been four years since he had left me, yet his name never faded from my mind.

Joshua Hong.
