"I'm sorry," he whispered loosening his grip on my small hand.

Tears began falling from my eyes,"No please don't do this," I pleaded clutching onto his thin hands.

"I'm sorry Nari," he repeated.

He pulled his hand away from my grip.

"It's the best for both of us,"

"Goodbye,"

he slowly stood up and began walking away.

I wanted to run after him but I couldn't move a single muscle. It was as if the strength of gravity tripled and anchored me down to the old park bench.

I helplessly watched as his figure slowly disappear in the distance; into the pink sky of the afternoon.

Not once did he turn around.

-----

"Nari! Nari, wake up!"

Huh?

Opening my eyes I saw that Yeong's face was inches away from mine.

"What's going on?" I asked in surprise.

She looked at me with concern, "You were crying in your sleep Nari,"

"Oh I was?" I said softly, wiping the remaining tears off my cheeks.

It was four years ago but I'm still having nightmares about it.

"Was it because of him?" she asked with a small frown on her face.

A moment of silence passed and she nodded her head at my silent answer.

She already knew that it was because of him.

"He's not worth your tears,"

I forced a stiff smile on my lips, "anyway why are you in my room so early?"

"I came up to get you"

I tilted my head to the side and looked at her blankly.

"Aish, Nari did you forget that we have school today?"

Instantly I threw my covers off and jumped out of bed.

"Don't worry, I thought you would forget so I woke you up half an hour early," she replied cheekily.

"Ah, you know me too well," I called out as I ran towards the bathroom.

I have known Yeong since I was born. She was the biggest reason why I came back to Korea. She was able to convince my mum to let my audition for the Performing Arts School. Which wasn't too hard since she's my cousin and I was able to stay her family.

------

It was already lunch at school but I felt like I had been here for a few minutes. My mind was all kinds of messed up because of my dream this morning. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I couldn't stop thinking about him.

I was quietly putting my books back into my locker when someone suddenly crashed into my locker door.

"Ow," a deep voice wavered.

Moving the door out of the way I was greeted by a boy with almost platnium blonde hair. He gingerly held his hand over his face covering it.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly, "do you need to go to the first-aid?"

He slowly removed his hand away from his face, his red nose standing out like a sore thumb against his porcelain skin.

Wait, is this Woozi?

Why is he here?

"No it's fine, it was just a small bump but do you happen to know where the piano rooms are?" he asked still holding onto his nose.

"A-ah yeah they're just down the hallway, I'll take you there I was going to go to one anyway," I managed to say.

He nodded and I began walking through the busy hall towards the familiar rooms.

"Just a question, are you Woozi from Seventeen?" I asked once we reached the quiet hall.

He smiled brightly, "Yeah I am,"

"Why are you at high school, don't you guys have busy schedules?" I queered.

"This is part of my schedule, I'm suppose to be auditioning a pianist right now."

My blood ran cold at his words.

I  had an audition right now for a payed position as a pianist for a company.

"You guys don't happen to be under the company Pledis right?"

"We are actually," he chuckled lightly.

My heart sunk at his reply.

My mentor encouraged me to audition since it was a good way to practise as an accompaniment as well as earn some money so that my presence at my Aunt's house wouldn't be too much of a financial burden.

I stopped at the piano room labelled P-3 and allowed him to enter first.

"Hey, how'd you know that I was looking for this particular room?"

But before I could answer my mentor stood up from her desk greeted us.

"Good afternoon Woozi and Nari, it's good that you guys came at the same time that means we can start the audition straight away," she said with a bright smile.

Woozi turned to me with a surprised expression.

I smiled wearily as I sat down in front of the piano to the side of the desk where Woozi and my mentor were seated at.

I guess there's no turning back now.

And what harm could an audition be, it doesn't necessarily mean that I'll get the job.
