Clarke tried not to show it, but she was nervous. Very nervous. Afraid almost. She had just been released from the infirmary, and she heard word that Lexa had returned, hence Clarke being a nervous mess. They hadn't left their friendship on the best terms, and Clarke winced remembering when Lexa told her on the last day that she wasn't going to Hogwarts anymore. She was the only one Lexa told, and when she said it, it had resulted in a big argument, and they hadn't resolved it.

It's been four years, though, so surely Lexa wouldn't remember much of her. Clarke sighed as she weaved through the crowd going to the Great Hall, looking around for a brunette with soft curls. Clarke finally gave up her search as she arrived in the dining hall. She plopped down at the Ravenclaw table, sitting next to Raven and Octavia.

"Have you seen her?" Clarke asks, her voice raising an octave. Raven looks around for a minute, and her eyes widen.

"Oh I see her, alright," Raven said, and Clarke turned to where her friend was looking.

Holy shit.

She looked really different from when they were kids, and Clarke noticed that her jawline was more defined, as was her biceps. Her hair was braided intricately, and her eyes fell to Clarke, her gaze softening.

"She's walking over here," Clarke said in a hushed tone, and Octavia looked at Clarke, trying not to laugh.

"Of course she's coming over here, I mean it makes sense we were her closest friends," Octavia snickers at Clarke's expression.
Clarke grabbed at her satchel, trying to make it look like she was studying.

"Clarke, you totally have a crush on her," Raven said with a chuckle

"No way, I haven't seen her in forever," Clarke denied, shaking her head and rolling her eyes at her friends' antics.

"Denial," Octavia said in a sing-song voice, and Clarke proceeded to hit her with her textbook. Lexa took a seat right next to Clarke, and Clarke wiggled in her seat, trying to get comfortable.

"Clarke," Lexa said, clicking the consonants.

"Lexa," Clarke replied, trying to appear as formal as possible. Raven snickered, whispering something to Octavia, who was trying hard to not laugh. Clarke narrowed her eyes at the two.

"So, Lexa. How's it shakin? I mean you leave for four years and all of the sudden you come back, just out of the blue? Not to mention you're now like...smoking hot," Raven told her, and Clarke whipped her head around to turn at Raven.

"Raven!"

"What? I mean, it's true," Raven snickers again.

"You're insufferable," Clarke says, going back to looking at the textbook. She reaches for food to put on her plate, grabbing a piece of steak.

"Seems like not much has changed since I've left," Lexa says with a side smirk, looking over to Raven.

"Not much," Octavia agrees, eating her food contently. A long silence follows, and Clarke decides to break it.

"I have a date with Niylah tomorrow," Clarke says casually, sticking a fork with a piece of steak into her mouth. Raven starts choking, and Octavia spits out her drink. Clarke looks over to Lexa, who's jaw is clenched. "It's not that surprising," Clarke murmurs, picking at her food.

"When we said give her an answer, we didn't mean like that," Raven rasped out, still coughing.

"Are you insane, Clarke? She was terrible to you for like two years," Octavia whispers, and Clarke rolls her eyes.

"She's gotten better," Clarke explains.

"Do you really think it's wise to date her?" The three turn to look at Lexa, who'd jaw is still clenched, and her knuckles white.
