Here's Chapter Two! Hope you enjoy. If you want to make a cover, go ahead and send it to me because I have no clue how to make them. I'm just randomly updating this, obviously, so I'm not sure when the next one will be, but probably soon. Here you go!
I purse my lips as I stare at myself in the mirror, wondering if I should put more effort into my outfit. Somehow, Ro got us enrolled in the school in his town in only a day, meaning we barely got here yesterday morning and now we're already starting school. It doesn't bother me much, though, since I welcome the distraction from the long lectures we'd been treated to all of yesterday and into this morning.
I know without a doubt that there are more to come, so I let the school thing go as an excuse to get away from Ro's constant nagging for a few hours. It's not like I hate school as a whole, I just never liked anyone in my old class. I had the fighting boys and that was all I needed for friends in my old school.
Now, since we're with Ro, I know that Ryan won't be fighting as much anymore, if at all, so I'll actually have to attempt to make friends. That will be more interesting than I'd like to think about, considering I've never actually had to make my own friends. Ricky and Ryan just make them and then I get to hang out with them. Not that Alex and the like aren't my friends, just that I didn't necessarily choose them.
"Is that what you're thinking of wearing?" I glance at my open doorway to find that Lily is standing there, observing me.
My jeans are in the same condition as my ones from yesterday, though the material is a little lighter this time. The shirt I have one is a red, scoop neck long sleeved shirt with the word 'Fighter' splattered in black paint on the front. A black tank top peeks out from under it and there are holes in the sleeves for my thumbs to poke through, the entire outfit form fitting and fairly cute.
My white blonde hair is a puff of loose curls, falling in a cloud around me. Fine and soft, I pull it carefully back into a high ponytail as I turn towards Lily, not really caring if I look alright or not. Maybe I should put on makeup or something, but the eyeliner is already in place and I just put on mascara, so it's not like I'm going to try and redo it. Besides, I doubt it'll make a difference to how many friends I make, considering Ro promised I'd have most classes with my boys.
"You look beautiful." Lily offers, waiting for some sort of reply as I start towards the closet for my shoes.
"Thanks." I don't really know how to take that, since no one has called me beautiful in a long time. My brothers tell me I'm cute all the time, but they're my brothers. They have to be nice to me, that's their job.
"I'm serious, you look great. I don't know if your brothers will let you out like that." She laughs a little before turning to walk away, before spinning back around quickly. "I almost forgot. You have five minutes. Better come get something to eat. The boys are getting antsy. Ro is kind of yelling at them again."
"Crap." I shove my feet into my sneakers and let out a few more muttered curses, grabbing my bag off the floor before taking off towards Lily and the stairs. She laughs as she lets me past, even though I don't pause to say anything really important. As an afterthought, I turn around, running backwards down the hall. "I'll see you later. Thanks, Lily."
Then I'm running down the stairs and into the kitchen, finding the boys sitting at the kitchen counter and Ro standing in front of them, waving a spatula in the air like a male version of Martha Stewart. Seriously, he's even got the little apron going on.
