"Family" Night (AU)

Riley's POV

"Riley honey we need you to babysit three kids later tonight, if you want then you can invite your friends" my Mom said

"Why, where are you and Dad going?" I asked her

"Well your uncle Shawn's in town so me and Katy decided to have a sleepover. I know, I know were too 'old' to have one but its gonna be fun" she said while doing quotation marks at the 'old' part

"Ok then can I invite the boys?" I asked

"NOOO!!!!" Dad and uncle Shawn shouted while going inside the door

"I heard" Maya said as she followed uncle Shawn

"So you coming?" I asked her

"Ofcourse I will come if Dad allows me" She smiled at me and then uncle Shawn inocently

"Shawn, Cory there's gonna be little children they're not gonna do something bad besides I trust Farkle with Riley and Zay with Smackle will make the whole night fun with the three and Lucas is probably gonna be over protective about Maya again" Mom said making Maya blush and Shawn has a worried feeling

"Alright fineeeeee" Dad said and uncle Shawn pouted

"You trust Lucas?" uncle Shawn asked dad

"If Topanga trust Lucas with Maya then I trust Lucas with Maya" dad said

Maya didn't say anything and just looked down blushing. I smiled at Maya knowing she likes Lucas and Lucas likes her but they don't know they like eachother.

"Okay fine" uncle Shawn finally said

"Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy" me and Maya screamed

"What is wrong with you people, you guys are breaking my eardrums." Auggie said then we all laughed.

"You girls better get to school" mom said

" Okay. Bye Guys" Maya and I said

"Bye" they all said in unison

Maya's POV
When we went to school, I quickly get to my locker avoiding every stare Sophomore, Junior, and Senior boys gave me.

Riley said I was like the magnet of all boys at school at the start of Sophomore year and because of that Lucas gets all protective like Topanga said but I like it since I like him but he doesn't know that.

"Hey Maya" I heard a voice behind me said

"Oh hey hop-a-long, has Riley told you yet?" I asked him

"About the babysitting/sleepover?" He asked

"Yeah.."

"Yeah she did and I know three eight year olds are hard to take care of" he said and then this whole minute of awkward silence is bestowed upon us by the gods.

"Hey guys ready for tonight?" Riley asked to break the awkward tension between us then she looked at me and I mouthed 'thank you' because I knew she was eavesdropping.
