_______________________Soon, the blue was gone from the agents faces and in their view was a large dense jungle.
"Whoo!" Agent Shed yelled happily, starting her way toward the jungle. "Now I can be myself, come on let's go Agent Zed!"
Agent Zed rolled his eyes and followed her. "I like it when you're serious. Makes you more comfortable to work with." He said slightly annoyed.
The jungle soon encased them. Moisture and a slight darkness soon came over them. Small buzzes and caws from overhead birds filled the air.
"So how far is the machine?" Agent Zed asked. "I don't know." Shed said with a happy chirp. He sighed and continued on his way.
They soon made it to a large mountain. "I think its in there!" Shed said happily.
"You said that about every mountain so far." Max grumbled as he pulled out some toucan feathers from his hair.
"Oh come on, it's got to be-" Shed stopped her sentence, hearing another sound enter the conversation. A low growl came from the bushes to Sheds left. Before both of them had time to investigate, a tiger charged at Shed, knocking her down.
"Fuck!" She yelled as he tumbled with the tiger. She pulled out a knife from her belt, and stabbed the cat in the stomach.
The tiger roared in pain but that was quickly drowned out by a loud gun shot. The tiger fell limp on Agent Shed, blood seeping on her clothes.
She tossed the cat off her, breathing heavily. Zed then slipped the gun back in its holster and helped Shed up.
"Language Miss Grace." Max said with a smirk as he walked towards the mountain. Shed looked at him either fire in her eyes as she followed him.
They soon reached the bottom of the mountain. They scavenged through the dense bushes near the bottom. "I don't think it's here." Zed said as he grabbed some vines that were hanging loosely on the side of the mountain.
"Yeah, I guess you're rig-" Shed said before cutting off. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Zed fall out of her veiw.
"Ahh!" He yelled as he fell onto the cold stone floor. Shed rushed over to the vines and moved them away to find Zed lying on the floor.
"Found it! Such a cheesy spot though." She said, stepping over her partner and walking down the dark hallway. Zed grumbled before following her.

The tunnel seemed to go on forever and always downward, never up. It was pitch black through and through.
But soon they made it to a large open room. The two stood next to eachother as they surveyed the room.
Torches lined the walls and illuminated the stone. A large winded staircase started in the middle of the room but swirled up to a large platform at top.
Agent Zed took the lead and started up the stairs, Shed following. Their were many stairs and both of them were out of breath by the time they got to the top.
Their was a large machine in the middle of the circular platform. Shed walked up it it and examined it carefully while Zed looked on the outer part of the ring.
There were many pillars along the edge that trailed upwards and conected above their heads. In front of each pillar there was a stand with a glass case on top of it.
Shed stood up and looked around. "Looks like we need something to go in those cases, but what?" She asked herself.
Zed shook his head before an idea popped into his head. "Artifacts?" He asked his partner. Shed nodded her head thinking it was a possible idea.
"Lets head back to the agency and report this, then maybe we'll have some idea on what this means." She said as she threw something small and black, almost the size of a hockey puck. The thing then shot out a blue lazer and scanned the area.
"The agency now has a visual of the area." She said as she picked the thing up. "Lets head back and discuss this with them." Zed nodded and followed her as she started down the stairs.
