"(Y/n)."
A Voice echoed throughout the dark ether that was your dreamless sleep.
"(Y/n)."
A small groan spilled from your throat and you shifted slightly in place snuggling into your boyfriend Mari's embrace, not really wanting to come down from your cloud. Then something poked your side hard but only hard enough to finally wake you.
"(Y/n) my little doll you need to get up now~"
Fluttering half-open your eyes were momentarily met with the side of Puppet's box until you rolled over onto your back some and saw the Puppet still in his ghost form staring at you with a soft smirk, you smiled sleepily in response before stretching and letting out a loud yawn.
"aw~ I was sleeping so well too!" you said crossing your arms pouting playfully, Mari chuckled a bit and petted your back "As much as I'd love to cuddle with you all day I don't want you getting caught here well after your shift. " you blinked a bit before looking at your watch, it was 5:52.
Marionette would be right the nightguard leaves in 8 minutes and then after that your manager and Scott would be here shortly after to open up the place for the day, you'd have to slip past the security guard who was not Fritz and out the front door without being seen by anybody.
Crawling over to the front wall of the box you lifted the lid a crack and peeked though, scanning the dark for the camera to see if it's on, and there it was; the camera at the corner of the room.
The little red light was on indicating that the guard was watching the room right now, you groaned "the camera's on.." you muttered. Long arms wrapped around your waist and before you could turn and say something Mari launched himself out of the box with you in his arms rocketing out of the prize corner and past the dining room at near lighting speeds making a startled cry erupt from your throat. It all seemed to by in seconds before you feel Mari stop. Looking all around you could see that the both of you were now standing in front of the door of Freddie's in the cool air with dawn just barely peeking out over the horizon
Looking up you saw Mari smile at you before putting you down on your two feet, you looked up at him bewildered for a moment before exclaiming "Wow! did you really move that quickly?" Mari nodded smirking a bit "being swift comes with being a thin and lightweight animatronic. I had to move you quickly so the security guard wouldn't have the chance to see us." you hummed and turned to the light that was being to arise in the sky, Mari apparently had the same idea as his gaze was in the same direction "Have you ever actually been..you know..outside the establishment before? I mean.. after you died that is.." you suddenly asked tearing Mari's gaze away back to you.
Mari seemed slightly bit taken back by this question before answering; "Yes, I have been outside the building before..once." Mari then frowned in a sad manner "but the shackles that bind me to this restaurant have never allowed me to traverse beyond this parking lot.. seeing the sun, moon and feeling the air against my body is the only lick of freedom from this place I'll ever get.." A small black tear rolled down his pale cheek staining them in black streaks.
Mari was startled when he was pulled into your embrace tightly you had your face in his chest causing a warmth to briefly pool in his cheeks before returning the gesture, you looked up at Mari with a somber look "Mari. I promise. no matter what, I'll find a way to set you and the others free" Mari looked down at you baffled by this."you? help..us?" Mari asked and you nodded "Please. just let me help you guys. There has to be another way there just has to!" Mari stared at you somewhat agape then smiled warmly "Thank you (Y/n).. you have no idea how happy you make me~" you and Mari shared a short kiss before parting.
"I have to get going." you said letting go of Mari and stepping back Mari gave a understanding nod and stood there "see you at lunch this afternoon?" he asked
