High School (part 1)

(Y/n) POV:

*YAWN* Today is the first day of high school, and I want it to be perfect! I rolled out of bed and quickly got changed into the outfit that I have chosen the night before. I combed and fixed my hair into a neat pony tail.

<AT SCHOOL>

Ah! I'm finally at school! And Kirstie is already at the entrance waiting for me! Kirstie has been my best friend since 1st grade, and we attended the same schools ever since.

Kirstie noticed me and immediately gave me an excited wave. I ran towards her and gave her a tight hug.

"OMG I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU ALL SUMMER QUEEN! HOW ARE YOU?!" I asked.

"I've been great! I mean like, it's super boring without you, but it was great." She responded as we walked to the office to get our timetables.

<IN THE CLASSROOM>

"I can't believe we are in the same classes too!" Kirstie exclaimed. I laughed, "That's what we'll get for being BFFs!" I said as we walked into the classroom. Some students were already there. We chose the back seats ,where we usually liked to sit.

Student kept on coming in. Soon, the class was filled with the chattering of the students.

<A FEW MOMENTS LATER>

A teacher came in and silenced us all. "Hello class! My name is Ms Carly and I will be your form tutor for the year!" She introduced herself.

Suddenly, a boy ran into the class. "Sorry I'm late!" He apologized. "I got lost in the campus..." He said in embarrassment.

"Oh! That's OK! It's the first day of school, everyone gets lost sometimes." Ms Carly said.

The boy took a seat beside me and I greeted him with a warm smile. He smiled back and sat down.

"Now, let's take the attendance." Ms Carly said. "Please raise up your hand and say here when you name is called."

"Kirstie, Kirstie Maldonado?" Ms Carly said. "Here!" Kirstie said raising up her hand.

"(Y/n)?" She continued "Here!" I said with a smile.

"Scott Hoying?" She said. The boy next to me raised up his hand, "Here..." He said timidly. So Scott is his name...

After taking the attendance, Ms Carly explained everything we were going to do and learn at high school. I listened attentively, but I had this feeling that someone was starring at me... But who? I looked around but nobody seemed to be looking at me. Then I looked beside me and noticed Scott starting at me. He saw me look at him and quickly looked away. Huh? What was that for?

Scott's POV:

Argh! She noticed you looking at her! You stupid idiot!

But she looks really cute though... NO NO NO! You can't do this Scott! Focus on the class! Besides, she probably thinks your weird!

<AFTER THE CLASS>

(Y/n) POV:

"Come on Kirstie! Let's go look around!" I said excitedly, "this campus is so big! There has to be a lot to see!" Kirstie nodded and followed me out. That's when I noticed Scott being rather lonely. "Hey Kirstie, should we invite Scott to hang out with us? He looks kinda lonely." I asked. Kirstie smiled gratefully, "You are such a caring person! Of course we can!" She replied.

I walked over to Scott and tapped on his shoulder. He looked up from his book, "Yes? Oh! Hi... D-do you need help with anything?" He asked. I giggled, "do you want to hang out with us?" I asked.

"S-sure! If you'd like me to!" Scott replied shyly. "Great! Come on! Let's go!" I said leading the way.

Scott's POV:

I followed (y/n) out to explore the campus. She seemed like a really nice girl! Unlike other girls, she had something special about her, and--- oh! I completely forgot! I'm supposed to meet Mitch after school! Maybe (y/n) ,Kirstie and I could all go meet him after school together!

"Hey, umm (y/n)? Kirstie?" I began. "Yeah? What is it?" They said turning around. "Do you want to meet up with one of my friends after school?" I asked. "Sure! Sounds like fun! Then we can all hang out together!" Kirstie cheered. (Y/n) nodded in agreement.

<AFTER SCHOOL>

Me: Hey Mitch! I'm bringing 2 of my friends I made to hang out together, is that fine wth u?

Mitch: sure sounds gr8t!

Me: k cya at the entrance!

Mitch: cya!

I lead the girls to the entrance and noticed Mitch waiting over there. I waved at him and he waved back. We walked over to him and Kirstie gave a shocked gasp. "GASP! MITCH! IS THAT REALLY YOU?!?!" She exclaimed. "AND IS THAT REALLY YOU KIRSTIE?!?!" He exclaimed. "OMG IT IS YOU! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!" Kirstie said jumping up and down.

(Y/n) and I exchanged confused looks. "Can someone explain what going on here?" I asked.

"Oh! It's a loooong story, but in short, Kirstie and I were best friends during kindergarten, until I moved away." Mitch explained. (Y/n) gave him the "oh-now-I-get-it" look and left them to catch up.

"Let's go to my place,then, we can figure out what to do." (Y/n) suggested. We all agreed.

<AT (Y/N)'S PLACE>

(Y/n) POV:

We walked into my house. "MOM! I HAVE SOME FRIENDS OVER!" I yelled into the house. My mum hurried over and greeted my friends. "Why hello Kirstie! Oh! And you guys must be (Y/n)'s new friends!" She welcomed them. "Well, I'm going to leave you guys to hang out while I fix you guys some snacks!" She said and headed into the kitchen.

I smiled at my friends and led them into the living room. We talked about everything, like hobbies, school, and stuff...

Scott's POV:

Wow! (Y/n) is a really nice person! She is really into drawing and music! Just like me, although I am really bad at drawing... But I still enjoy doing it!

"How about we play truth or dare?" Mitch suggested. We all agreed excitedly. "OK! Scott will go first, then me, then (Y/n) then Kirstie. So!" He said addressing me. "Truth or Dare?" he asked mischievously.

I thought for a moment, "I'm going to go simple, truth." I said. "Hmmm... Do you have a crush on anyone?" Mitch asked. I blushed, "Ummm..." I don't know what to say? I have a crush on (Y/n)... But I don't want to say it... "Come on Mr Tomato! I know you have a crush on someone! Just spill it already." Mitch teased. 

"Fine... Promise not to freak out?" I asked. They all nodded. "OK... I have a crush o-on... umm..." I stuttered. "JUST SAY IT!" Mitch urged. "IHAVEACRUSHON(Y/N)!" I blurted out quickly. "In english?" Kisrtie asked. "I... have a c-crush on... on... (Y/n)." I said.

(Y/n) POV:

M-Me?! "You have a c-crush on me?!" I asked to be sure. Scott nodded. I blushed. "Awwwww! Look at those 2 tomatoes!" Kirstie teased. 

Well! This school year is off to a great start!
