When we had to go back to school we had only missed three hours we were in last period and I had swimming.

" I'm not getting into that pool." I said to the teacher.

" Please just at least get changed into a bathing suit." He plead.

" Fine." I got changed and came out in a two piece bathing suit. The bottom was black while the top was blue.All the guys eyes went to me. There mouths dropped open. They quickly closed them.

"Now princess can you please swim one lap." He pleaded.

" Ok. Let me make this very clear. I am not jumping into the water." I felt my blood boiling.

" Gena. Look o-" He stopped and I was covered in pool water. " out." Jessie finished. I fell to the ground. My white tail came out. My hair changed to purple with neon pink highlights. Now I was too far to get into the water. I started to choke on the air. Jessie, Dylan and Jas came running over.

" Put me in the water don't drop me." I warned. I knew that my tail felt like silk. Jessie picked me up and I fell through his hands. But before I hit the ground someone caught me. He smiled at me gently. It was Jett. "Thanks." He walked and placed me into the water. I dove under and took of my ring. It immediately turned into a trident. I swam back to the top of the surface. To meet two ocean blue eyes. I turned around and swam to the other side of the pool. My trident back as a ring on my finger. I swam back to him and smiled at him.

" So are you ready to come out yet?" He had an amusing look on his face.

" No. I don't want to." I crossed my arms over my chest and shook my head.

" I think it is time for you too come out." Jessie said.

" I don't care what you think." I said.

" Get her out. Now." Jessie said and Dylan and Jas pulled me out.

" Why. Are. You. Guys. So. Mean?" I said hitting them with my tail. As soon as my tail dried my legs came back.

" There are you back to normal?" Jessie asked.

" Yes. Mom." I said getting back up. " This is exactly why I don't swim in Chlorine. It makes mermaids go all types of crazy." Everyone had already left. I looked at Jett who was still here. I looked at the teacher and narrowed my eyes.

" Sorry. I didn't know that would happen." He said and bowed. I turned away from him and looked at Santaga.

" I think it's time we get changed." I took her hand and we went into the changing room. I changed back into my dress. I felt my hand.. my ring... it is gone. My ring turned into a trident. It was my gift as a mermaid. It is how I stay human. I ran out of the changing room.

" What's wrong?" Jett asked running towards me.

" My ring.I think I left it in the water. I need to find it." I said.

" Ok. I'll go find it." Jett said turning around and dived into the water.

" Why did Jett just jump into the pool?" Dylan asked looking very alert.

" He went to go and see if he could find my ring."I said.

" You lost your trident?" Jessie scream whispered.

" Yes. Keep your voice down." I hushed him.

" Gena what happened?" Santaga asked with my stiletto's in her hand.

" I just lost something very important." I looked back at her and gave her a smile. I saw as Jett got out of the water. His hair now straight from the water draping in front of his eyes. I put my shoes back on.

" I think this belongs to you." He held out my ring. He smiled at me.

"Throw it in the air." I said. He did what I said mid air it turned into a trident. I grabbed it. " Ok. Now trust me. I won't hurt you promise." I held my trident into his direction and a blast of light came from the middle point and in seconds he was dry. I shook my trident and it turned back into a ring. He was right in front of me dry.

" Thanks." He smiled. I hugged him and he hugged me back.

" My hero." I said into his chest. I backed away but he still kept me close enough to him so my face was close to his. " Um.. I think I should probably get going."

" Um. Yeah. You're right. Michael must be waiting for me." He let go of me and scratched the back of his neck. His hair was now straight all of his curls were gone. They didn't even look like curls they looked like waves. I took a step towards Jessie and Dylan who were staring at him with awe. I glanced back at them and gave them a look like 'what are you doing.'

" Gena. The car is out front." Jas said impatiently.

" Ok." I looked back at him and back to Jett. " Well. I have to go so. Bye."

" Yeah. Bye." He seemed a little bit sad. I smiled and turned around and started to walk towards Jas. " Hey Gena." I turned around to look at him. " Do you want to come over to my side of the kingdom for that tour." I looked at Jas who just nodded.

" Sure. I'd love too." I smiled.

" Great see you there." He smiled and waved.
