Freedom
Written by: Christie Tulloch
Moments pass by,
And I remember when I felt alive,
My heart races and will not cease,
I feel unease,
The bombs go off and I feel the shock,
Nothing but a hint of bad luck,
We run through the night trying to survive,
Every second is another chance to thrive,
Defeat is still far from sight,
We run into the night,
Guns go off and bullets release,
Meanwhile, soldiers are trying to keep the peace
As every second passes, a soldier could lose the fight,
It is such a sacrifice,
Never take freedom for granted...
Soldiers fight hand in hand to let us stand,
Remember those who fought for our freedom,
Soldiers are the reason we are free.
