*Skykar's POV*

I woke up to a pounding headache and stood up quickly making myself dizzy. I grabbed the night stand next to me as Justin's arms scooped me up and wrapped around my waist. "Woah Sky, you okay there?" He chuckled. I faintly smiled. "I don't feel good at all." Justin looked at me concerned. "Today's the big day, seeing the gender of our child, do you think you can manage to make it?" "Of course!" I happily clapped my hands. He pulled me in for a warm wet kiss. Our lips touched and it all felt right. Justin and I could make this work despite our past and all the hardships along our journey. I looked at my stomach and felt it rumble, "what does my baby girl and my little boy/girl want to eat?" He placed his hands on my tummy and kissed my forehead. "Chocolate!" I screamed. "For breakfast?" He shot his eyebrows up. "What my princess wants, my princess gets!" He picked me up causing me to screech in fear. "I got you baby." He replied to my screech.

It was finally that time that every new mother and father is eager to know. It was time to figure out what has been inside of my stomach for 14 weeks. My heart thumped while walking in the room as I sat on the chair. "Good evening Skylar, I bet you are so excited to figure out what this gender of the baby growing inside of you is!" I smiled and replied, "of course I am but could we wait for Justin to get here he'll be here shortly." "Of course sweetie." My Dr. cheerfully said. I picked my phone up and searched for any messages from Justin. But I had no luck. Where was he?

It was two hours. Two hours that I waited for Justin. He promised to stay with me throughout this entire thing. He promised to be here, the doctor put cold jelly on my tummy and smiled in delight of my healthy developing baby. I cried not only tears of happiness but tears of sadness. Justin was missing the most important thing to me. I finally knew what our baby would be. I walked out of the office, tears streaming down my face as I seen Justin racing up to me. I picked up my pace. "Stop Justin, I was here two hours! TWO HOURS WAITING FOR YOU AND WAITING FOR THE MOMENT I DREAMT ABOUT FOR DAYS!" He grabbed my arm, "Skylar- I totally got lost in time, it's not what it seems baby-" I yanked my arm and hurried to my car. "Skylar stop! You don't understand!" I looked him in the eyes with tears flooding my face as well as his. "I understand perfectly that you're so lost in time that you miss our baby's gender. Don't you realize this is what I've dreamed about since I was a little girl and your best friend? Don't you realize how much I had faith in you that you'd be here?" He started talking but I cut him off by opening my door to my car and hopped in. Before slamming the door, unstoppable tears poured out as I spoke, "you'd be happy to know it's a boy." With that I drove off to my house, were I belonged and hoped to sleep. Justin missed the most important thing to me, I pulled in the driveway and put my head in my hands. I was empty and lonely, it felt like the time Justin left me. He promised I wouldn't ever feel like this again. But I did.
