"Are you sure that you're OK?" She asked, handing you a lollipop.
"I'm fine, really."
"So you won't tell anybody what he did will you, Y/N?"
"No, mother." You shook your head. She said that what he did was right, and you wanted to believe her. She was your mother, after all. So why did it feel so wrong? You blinked, staring at the horizon. The world looked so bland to you at this point, void of colour. The only colour you saw was the railing, but even that was gone in seconds as you leapt over it. It was just you and the space in front of you. Nobody would find you here, and nobody would bother you. You could end everything without bothering a fly. It all seemed so easy. You didn't even spend time to think about it. This was what you was going to do. You smoothed down you dress, stepping forwards. One more step and you would be falling. One more step was everything that was left for you now. Just one more-
"Who are you?" Asked an unfamiliar and unwelcome voice. You gritted your teeth in annoyance, pulling your foot back as you turned around to face the owner of the voice. His eyes lit up when he took in your features, and he stepped toward you. "Your so beautiful, oh how a Goddess has shined down on me today! Would you like to commit a double suicide with me?" He asked you, down on one knee as if he was asking for the rest of your life. Kind of ironic, considering that was exactly what he was doing.
"Yes." You replied simply, and he blinked up at you in shock, eyes wide and circular.
"You'll...really?" He asked in shock and you nodded.
"I'll commit double suicide with you.""What's your name?" He asked.
"You don't need to know the name of who you're killing yourself with, do you?" You responded, and he nodded, standing up.
"Okay then. No names. No ages. No strings attached. Is that what you want?"
"No pain. No pain for anybody. I just want to end it." You replied.
"Then that's what we'll do." He agreed, taking your hand once more as he stepped over to the edge with you. His brown hair swayed in the wind.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"Stop asking questions." You snapped, jumping. You pulled him down with you.Your hair swayed around you, and he turned to you with a smile on his face. You smiled back at him, hitting the water below in seconds. And that was when everything went black.
Water...filling your lungs...
Air...or the loss of it...
"Stay with me, don't die." He begged, brown hair framing your face as he deep brown eyes stared into yours.
Water...escaping your lungs...
Air...or the gain of it...
Your eyes snapped open as you coughed up the water that was trapped in your lungs. What...what happened? Everything was blurry, so you reached up a hand to rub your eyes as you sat up, groggy. The last thing you remember was jumping off the cliff with that man. So how did you end up on the sandy shores?
"Stay with me, don't die." He begged, brown hair framing your face as he deep brown eyes stared into yours.
Him...That man. The man you jumped with. He saved you? He begged you to stay alive...So where was he now? You looked around for him, but you saw not a sole. It was too dark for you to be able to find his foot prints in the sand. You let out a sigh, standing up. A long, sand coloured trench coat was draped over your body, and it dropped to the ground. That was his trench coat...So where on earth was he? You let out an angry growl, pulling the trench coat after you as you stomped away from the beach.
That man...he ruined everything.
A/N: How about a little competition to celebrate the 1st chapter? Seeing as I've lost my editing skills :( then here's a competition to create a new book cover. Good luck.
