May 30,1992

Mom: Katie come down here Ricky’s here for you.

Katie: Okay mom i’m coming i just need to put my shirt on (great i guess this is a good time to talk while Hadie and dad were still asleep because if dad knew Ricky was here he’d go off on Ricky right about now.)

Katie: hey

Ricky: hey

I need to tell you something we both said at the same time,you go first we both said at the same time again no you go we both said again. ( we paused) Finally i said some

Katie: I’ll go first,  I’m really sorry i went off on you the other day it’s just that i feel like when i plan something most of the time you can’t make but when you plan something nothing ever comes up and i didn’t understand.

Ricky: I can’t make it to every thing you plan because sometimes i am busy at home,and i’m sorry because of that.

Katie: It’s okay i understand now and i love you

Ricky: Love you to

Katie: It’s just that with everything i say and do i’m surprised you haven’t broken up with me yet but i guess our relationship will get stronger  

Ricky: look it will get stronger and maybe we’ll have less arguments when we get married.

Katie: I’m too young to be thinking about marriage i’m only 15 years old.

Ricky: And i’m 16 years old and older than you so your really not too young too think about marriage

Katie: I may be younger than you but I’ll be 17 when i graduate and you're going to 18 (we hugged and kissed)

Ricky: i have the best graduation gift a guy could ever give to a girl.

Katie:what is it ?

Ricky: it’s a surprise so you’ll find out during our graduation.

Katie: okay then i guess i’ll have to wait an see.

Ricky: Oh yea before i forget i also came to ask you if you wanted to come with me to my family reunion?

Katie: But i never even meet your family i only know your little twin sisters and your little cousin and you mom and dad.

Ricky: Yea i know thats why i want you to come so that you can meet the rest of my family plus my mom isn’t coming because her job said she can’t take off any more so will you come please?

Katie: I’ll have to check with my mom and dad first but i don’t know if my dad will let me tho.

Ricky: why not did you do something again.

Katie: Uh, no you did it this time.

Ricky: what did i do?

Katie: remember when we got into it about you not being able to go on the trip.

Ricky: yea what about it.

Katie: Well i told him how i felt and he thinks that you didn’t really love me the way i said it.

Ricky: But babe you know that i love you and that i would never hurt you or if our problem was that bad that i would have talked to you before now.

Katie: i’ll talk to him.

Hey dad can i go with Ricky to his family reunion and before you ask we talked and now were okay and you don’t have to talk to him and he wasn’t trying to avoid me it’s just that he’s always busy at home so can i go dad?

Dad: Yeah sure just ask your mom if you go

Katie:Thanks dad.

Katie:Hey mom can i go with Ricky to his family reunion so that i can meet the rest of his family?

Mom: sure i don’t mind what did your father say?

Katie: he said yea just to ask you.

Katie: Well I guess i can go then,i’ll go start packing my bags babe,how long are we going to be there.

Ricky: From today to sunday why?

Katie: Well because you know tray’s out of town and Hadie will be here by herself .(my voice trailed off)

Ricky: Yes babe she can come too so she can meet the rest of my family also.

Katie: hey hadie Ricky said you can come with us so you could meet the rest of his family and so you don’t have to be here with mom.

Hadie: slow down and i know he didn’t say that last part now what did you say about going with you and Ricky somewhere.

Katie: okay i did say the last part but anyway Ricky said that you can come to his family reunion with us so u can meet the rest of his family with nme of course only if you want to.

Hadie: okay i will come but only for you and to get out of this house.

Katie: thanks i’ll go tell Ricky you’re going oh and there leaving in 2 in a half hours so wash up get dressed and packed .

Hadie: okay i’ll be ready in an hour and a half.

Katie: hey babe she said shes going i’ll pack and tell Asia Caylee and Casey that we’re going with you.

15 minutes later i was packed and calling my friends for a four way on oovoo.

Hey you guys i have something to tell you.

Hadie and I are going to Ricky’s family reunion to meet the rest of his family.

When did you two make up said Asia.

When did you two make up says the girl who’s man is out of town visiting him aunt If you really want to know this morning.

( We all start laughing)

Well Katie we’re happy for you and we’ll miss you two.

It’ll only be for about two in half to three days thats not that long.

But it will feel long to us because we’re with you guys like almost everyday.
