THE NEXT MORNING
I rolled out of my bed waking up a few minutes early before school to avoid my mom. I peeked into Dylan's room, "Dylan" I whisper yelled his name. "Whatt" he groaned in his groggy morning voice. "I need you to go the pharmacy and refill moms pills, she lashed out on me yesterday. I think she ran out". Dylan sat up from his bed and gave me a look of concern. "Wait really, I am so sorry Laur that I wasn't their to help. I had to stay at a friends house for a project my professor gave us". I ran my fingers through my hair stressed out about the whole situation. "It's okay. I am fine really". He looked at me again knowing I wasn't fully speaking the truth. "Ok well I'll do so today" Dylan replies. "Thanks I really appreciate it".
A few hours has passed and I am at school eating breakfast with Liz. "Hey Laura you seem a little off today, are you okay" Liz asks me. "Yeah I am fine. It's just my mom again" I say. "I told you and Dylan that you should get someone to help you guys with her" she tells me once again. "I can't just do that. As much as I want to I can't. My mom has a job that she can do when she is happy, which most of the time she is. Just once in a blue moon, she gets too angry and loses stability" I say sternly. "I know. I just hate to see you like this" Liz say with sympathy. The bell rings signally us to go to class. I give Liz a quick hug and goodbye.
I walk into first period and sit down. I managed to convince myself that I can get through this day without worrying about my mother. I soon realized that I spoke to soon when I see Collin walk through the door. Ugh! I totally forgot we had first period together. He sit down besides me and smirks. "Heyy there Davis" he say oh so obnoxiously. "Not in the mood Parker!" I snap back. "Okay... I see not. He raises his hands up in mock surrender. "What got your panties in a twist" he says while touching my forearm. I wince at his touch, the pain tingles through my skin. I still had some bruising from yesterday 'incident'. "Wow you really are fragile aren't you. Now lets see here, do we have little sticks arms!" He jokes as he pulls up my sleeve. "Hey! What do you think you're doing!" I yell at him. He quickly see the brushing on my arm and instantly lets go. "Woah! Sorry Davis I didn't kn-" . "Yeah you didn't so just leave me alone!" I cut him off. "Hey I am sorry. I really shouldn't have crossed your boundaries" he say sympathetically. "Yeah you shouldn't! Ever heard of personal space!" I yell. "Hey are you sure your okay Davis what happened?" he asks. "Nothing, okay just drop it" I answer. Before he can speak another word Mr king steps in and starts teaching the lesson. I avoided any eye contact with Collin. I really don't feel like explaining my life story to him. Especially considering what an douche he is.
The bell rings and every student body dashes out the room. I start packing my stuff up for my next class. As I put away my books I feel a particular gazer upon me. "Collin what do you want?" I say. "Listen Davis. I know I shouldn't have touched you so for that I am sorry" Collin says. "Okayy so now that we established that I'll be going now" I say picking up my book bag. "Not so fast speedy!" He stops me by stepping in front of me. "However, i don't often apologize so you should really worship this moment for your probably never have it again" and with that he picks up his book bag and slings across one shoulder heading towards the door. "Ugh you're so vexing Parker!"I yell After him. "So I've been told!" he tells me while he walks out the door giving me a big old smirk.
