I’ve never written before, but this idea was just here when I began to read up about snakes. I found it in my brothers collection of books which he never reads. So yeah… xD
Prologue
They call them by many names, tagging them all with many labels: Mutants. Freaks. Superheroes, even god damn aliens to few. And some of their kind are too afraid to use their powers, too fragile to take control and experiment with them or believe that they have this gift. To them, it’s a curse. Day by day and night by night these people struggle, some find that their gifts are quite practical, then there are those who use them for criminal undertakings. For inflicting pain and robbing banks. These would go by the name of ’super villains’ to those plain of imagination.
You’re probably wondering how I know so much about their kind, right? You’re wondering who I am. You’re wondering how I know. Let me introduce myself then, I’m Brace Silver and I’m one of ‘their kind’.
I’d like to think of myself as a rare and special species as I have never actually seen another person with abilities in my life. Comics and movies were my intelligence, yet I knew there had to be since I was so abnormal.
I guess I should tell you my power?
Or maybe you’d like to stick to the world of “real” facts that you know?
I’m a snake.
Okay I don’t mean I have scales and slither around because I don’t slither and I don’t have scales… most of the time. I think it’s just when I get cut slightly, under my skin I have the weirdest scales and to top it off my eyes, even though they look the same as yours, they’re not-- when I need them or want them to, I adapt this acute diurnal vision and can see even the slightest motion in the grass, in the forest, anywhere. No, as much as I want it, I do not have x-ray vision.
Instead I have this rage to bite, and as the fangs bear in my mouth and take shape I want the taste of flesh.

HorrorI never fitted in at school and I wasn’t about to start to, especially not when I can swallow objects up to five times bigger than myself. I guess I just rolled snake eyes in life… and snake teeth, and skin, and well, I’m just one big snake!
