{Remi's POV}

"Mom! Make him stop!" I yelled as Kade tapped the screen on my phone again. He continued and my mom didn't do a thing. I yanked the phone away from him, but he only reached over me to try to get it.

"Who are you texting?" He said with a sly smirk on his face as he reached to grab my phone.

"None of your business!" I yelled into his face as I pushed his arm away from me.

"That's enough! Leave her alone, Kade!" Mom finally yelled. Kade only rolled his eyes and leaned on the car door.

"Next time, Annalise is sitting next to you." I growled under my breath as I looked over at her, who happened to be writing a poem in her small notebook. She looked up at me and back at her notebook, indicating that she, in fact, heard what I said.

We pulled into the driveway of a nice two-story house with countless amounts of windows, and I could tell that my dad was bursting with joy.

"Get your bags out of the back. If you need me, I'll be asleep in my room." He said with exhaustion.

"Oh, lighten up, Daniel." Mom said, as she swung a bag over her shoulder. "We're going to have a great time."

I sighed and waited for Annalise to get out of the car. There was no way I was going to get out on Kade's side and risk him slamming the door in my face. I watched as she packed her notebook and pencils into her backpack before she opened the car door and exited. She left the door open for me like I wanted, and I exited after her. I grabbed my bags and noticed that Kade was already trying to take one of Annalise's bags from her. She tugged back with one hand, and pushed him away with the other. She groaned and growled at him until someone said something to make him stop.

"For goodness sake, Kaden! Leave the girls alone!" Dad said, clearly not in a good mood. "You're seventeen and you still act like you're two." He said that last part a little lower, to make sure he didn't hear it.

My dad opened the front doors of the gorgeous house and we all stepped in, more or less gracefully. Kade pushed his way through the doors so he could be the first one in the house. I noticed that everyone rolled their eyes at his actions, and it made me laugh a little.

We've had this beach house in Florida since I was just seven years old, and every summer, we visit it and throw pool parties and barbeques. Kade's best friend, Alex, has a summer home here too, so they're constantly going back and forth from our houses. Annalise and her best friend, Cameron, are practically joined at the hip, so she begged our parents to let her come with us. Of course after she asked, I had to ask if Bri and Aly could come too. After a considerable amount of begging, my parents finally decided to invite them. So, they were arriving any minute by then.

I decided to unpack, so I dragged my bags upstairs with me. I loved my room because I had my own bathroom and a balcony. At home, I had to share a bathroom with Annalise, so it was nice to get a break from that. Although I was going to have to share with Bri and Aly, but I didn't mind. Kade always has his own bathroom, because we don't have another brother to make him share with. I always thought he was lucky for that.

"Remi! Come downstairs!" I heard my dad yell from the front door. "Your friends are here!"

I squealed before running down the stairs and into the foyer. I saw the front door wide open, and there was a clear view to their car. I ran outside to help them with their bags with bare feet since I couldn't be bothered to put shoes on.
