{Bri's POV}

"I just remembered that I, um, have homework to do." Dylan said, leaving the room quickly.

I really wanted to follow him for some reason, so the moment Remi sat down at the table, I stood up quickly and ran to catch up to Dylan. By the time I caught up to him, he was in front of his bedroom door. He noticed that I was walking up behind him, so he turned to look at me.

"Why'd you follow me?" He asked with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Because you don't have homework in the summertime." I giggled, then looked at the floor.

"Right." He sighed and ran his big hands through his dark blonde hair. "Well, do you want to come hang out with me?" He opened his bedroom door and gestured for me to enter.

"Um, sure." I said, trying not to be overly excited. I walked through the door and looked around his large room, when something caught my eye. "Have you read this book?" I asked, not trying to control my excitement anymore. I picked up the book off of his desk and flipped the pages quickly.

"Oh, yeah. It's one of my favorites." He said while sitting down on his bed.

"Really?" I asked excitedly as I sat on the opposite side of the bed, but also facing him.

"Yeah! I loved the part where he saved his little sister." He said, getting just as excited as I was.

"Me too! That was the best part!" I said as I moved to the center of the bed. I sat with my legs crossed, and he moved closer to me.

"It was," he said with a giggle while moving his bangs out of his face.

For a moment, I felt something. It was something like happiness and excitement, but it was more relaxed and calm. He looked at me with his pretty blue eyes, and I couldn't help but smile. He smiled back at me. Before I could react to him, I saw Remi poke her head in the doorway. My eyes widened a little at the surprise.

"Hey," she started. "What're you guys doing?"

"Oh," Dylan said in surprise while getting off the bed quickly. "I was just telling her about my favorite book."

"Yeah." I didn't know what else to say.

"Okay, well I was just checking on you." She said with a smirk and walked away.

Dylan slowly moved back onto the bed in front of me. Once we was settled, he looked at me and smiled.

"Hey, do you want to see something cool?" He asked excitedly.

"Sure!"

He crossed his eyes and stuck his tongue out.

I laughed and moved my hair that was falling in my face. "You're so goofy."

"I know." He giggled.

[Remi's POV]

"Did you have fun, Ainsley?" Mrs. Jackie asked her in excitement.

"Yeah! We made cookies and I got to draw!" Ainsley yelled back.

"I'm so glad!" She said with a giggle. "How'd everything go, Remi?"

"Everything went great. Ainsley is a very well behaved four year old." I laughed.
