It's been about an hour or two now, she's been in and out of this forest around four or five times before, but never has she ever been this lost, Or lost at all for that matter.
"Mother!"
She called out, hoping that she was close enough to the village, or at least that they had come in looking and were near. With the same hopes she takes a deep breath and shouts again.
"Father!"
She waits; nothing.
Her fingers start to tingle from the cold, making it hard to hold her Cerulean flamed lantern. Her feet frozen to the bone, she looks around attempting once again to find a way out.
She started to take a few more steps then soon became frozen still as she realized that there was more than just her footsteps behind her.
She stepped, they stepped, this continued for a little while on and off as she was confused and scared.
Suddenly hearing a voice from behind as the strange man revealed himself with a strong and masculine voice.
"Pity maiden for your folly, to venture in these woods alone."
He spoke, his empowering voice filled her ears with warmth. As she heard him walk closer she turned around, seeing a dashing man with short black hair and a matching suit.
His skin was pale as snow and his golden eyes pierced into her soul, as if there was a large and strong wolf in front of her. His sharp golden eyes looking upon her as he continued to speak.
"Mercy lives not in the holly, no compassion from the stones."
The man's voice like a warm fire calling out to her.
'Oh mother, father, where are you?!"
She cried out in her mind, her heart leaped towards him, skipping a beat, her mind racing, scared and petrified in place. She wished to run and hide and yet her body was still as a stone.
Almost as if reading her thoughts he looks her in the eyes, now directly in front of her.
"Your fear brings tears like summer rain."
He told her, bending down on one knee. Looking up towards her he held out his right hand, then once again speaking,
"They beg for me to take you home."
Still confused she looks down at him as she noticed a sense of sincerity coating his eyes, once seeing it she reaches out and grabs his hand, her heart now in the lead.
"I'm cast adrift and lost, what should I do?"
Alice asks the shadowed man, a single tear running down her cheek. With but a swift movement the man stood straughy, pulling her in close and wrapping her arm inside of his.
"Don't worry."
He responds as they make eye contact once more.
"What shall I call thee?"
He asks, his voice like a sweet summer breeze in her ears.
"Alice."
She speaks as a light pink hue engulfed her already rosy cheeks, making her face a little warmer.
With a single smirk he takes a step forward, turning her towards him disintegrating the space between them.
He picks his other hand up and traces his fingers against the knot of her long red cape and hood.
"W-What is it?"
Alice asks, being forced back against a tree, his face directly in front of hers.
"My love-"
He whispers, pausing for a second.
"I beseech thee."
He completes his entrancing words, reaching for the end and just as he was about to untie the knot, she escaped from his grasp and started running, the man not far behind.
Tumbling to the ground as she steps on her cloak in a panic, he turns her over grabbing her by her wrists, his right leg in between hers as he pushed her down, hunger slowly growing in his eyes.
"Throw thy cloak aside to feed me, crimson rivers from your veins, crimson rivers feel no pain."
He cooed softly into her ear, only his voice was powerful, reaching her heart and freezing her mind as she laid there, staring up at his hungry eyes, unable to move.
"Your long red hair ensnares me."
He speaks in a husky whisper.
"Your warm red blood it calls me."
Now speaking a bit louder to her, she looks away, finally catching up with the current events. His eyes quickly grew bigger as he got up and pulled her along with him.
She struggled as his grip tightened, once realizing this he let her go, and with a swift movement and a silent
"I'm sorry," he was gone.
Now free from the inhuman grasp the man layed upon her, her hand reaches out in the direction that he ran.
She was confused as to why, no answers in her mind; as all she could think was that his warm red hand should have taken her home.
