Serena's POV
"Serena!" I heard ash shout. I looked up and saw Ash looking down at me.
"Ash! I.." I began.
"Ahh!!" I screamed as I slipped further down the roof.
"I'm going to save you! Don't worry!" Ash shouted. Ash began pulling me up onto the roof inch by inch. I never knew Ash was so strong until now. I guess he could be really strong when the time came. Soon I could almost pull my feet up when Miette jumped and grabbed onto my feet. I slipped down the roof and almost fell off as the weight of Miette dragged me down. But Ash wasn't giving up so easily. He pulled me and Miette all the way up onto the roof.
"Thank you Ashy!" Miette said as she ran towards Ash.
"I'm so glad you saved m.." Miette began. As Miette ran towards him with open arms, he stepped out of the way at the last second and tripped Miette.
"Ahh!!" Miette screamed as she fell and nearly slid off the roof.
"Ash! Please! HELP ME!!!" Miette screamed. I walked over to Miette and looked her in the eye.
"You may be a filthy, dirty, unattractive, liar. But if I forgave you, and you disobeyed me, you'll be receiving a knife to the throat. Understood?" I said.
"Yes! I understand completely!" Miette said as she quickly stood up.
I walked over to Ash and said,"I hope I don't regret doing this."
"I hope so too but I think you might already." Ash said. I looked over to see Miette jumping back down onto the balcony and walked inside. Ash and I sat down on the roof and took subtle glances at each other. It was still raining really hard, but I like rain so I was happy. Ash soon moved closer to me and bumped my side with his. I looked over at him and smiled as our hands touched lightly. He smiled back at me as he grabbed my hand.

"Ash I..I" I began.
"Shh. You've said enough for today. I know what you were going to say. There's no need to apologize for anything. Well, there is one thing.." Ash said.
"What is it? Whatever is is I'm sorry!!" I said quickly.
"The only crime you've ever commited is stealing my heart." Ash said as he smiled at me with a goofy grin on his face.
"Aww! Ash!! Well I'm sure you've done the same!" I said.
"Yeah. I did." Ash said.

"Hey Serena?" Ash asked me.
"Do you like tripping people?" Ash asked.
"No! Why would I do that??" I said quickly.
"Oh. That's odd." Ash said.
"Why is that odd?" I asked.
"It's odd because it hurt when I fell for you." Ash said. Although it was a little cliche, I loved it. I blushed and smiled.

"Ok. Maybe I do like tripping people." I said.
"See? I knew you did." Ash said.
"Like you haven't done the same!" I said playfully.
"How do you think you fell for me?" Ash said.
"Well, you're hardheaded, you're super sweet, you're strong, I.. I honestly can't think of anything bad about you!" I said as my face turned a light pink.

"Hey," Ash began as he turned my face towards his.
"You're my star, and there nothing that would keep you from shining." Ash said as he smiled. I was sure my face was a bright red by now. I felt like a million butterflies were trying to get out of my stomach.
"Ash...I don't know what to say." I said quietly.
"It's ok. I'll love you no matter what." Ash said.
"You truly are the best thing hat has ever happened to me." Ash said.

After awhile, we got down from the roof and began heading to our room. While we were on the elevator, Ash put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. I smiled and laid my head down on his shoulder. Once we got to our room nether Ash or I bothered to change out of our clothes. We both just jumped onto a bed and fell asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night to the feeling of guilt and worry. I didn't know what was bothering me so I tried to think of something happy.
"I'm super lucky to have Ash Ketchum as my boyfriend." I thought to myself. The I realized that I'd never told my parents I had a boyfriend! Nor did I tell them it was Ash Ketchum!"

I wanted to call them right now but it was 5 in the morning. I knew I wouldn't be able to get any sleep if I didn't call them this second. So I got out of bed and crept past Ash's bed, being careful not to wake him. I went over to the phone and began punching in the numbers.
"Ring, ring, ring."
"Hello?" My mother asked.
"Hey mom." I said.
"Serena! My daring bow have you been?" My mom asked cheerfully.
"Great! How are you?" I asked.
"I'm great as well! You know, I was hoping you'd call us!" My mom said.
"Yeah! I have some news to tell you." I said.
"Oh that's great sweetheart! Why don't you come on down to Kantos and tell us?" My mom suggested.
"But mom, you know the Kali's festival is coming up in only a few days! If I go to Kantos, I'll miss most of the festival! Can't I come down after?" I asked.
"Serena Yvonne! You are coming to kmKantos right now! Pack your things!" My mom shouted.
"But mom.." I began.
"Serena, you are only 16. You know very little about this world. I'll bet you don't even have a boyfriend." My mom said. Anger boiled up inside me as my mom continued rambling on about how I don't know anything.
"Serena? Is everything ok?" Ash asked as he walked out of the bedroom.
"My mom wants me to go back to Kantos." I said.
"But the festival ..." ash began.
"She wants me to go but I'm not going." I said.
"Mom?" I asked.
"What now Serena??" My mom asked angrily.
"I'm not coming. Oh and by the way, I do have a boyfriend. His name is Ash Ketchum. And he is the sweetest, kindest, and strongest boyfriend anyone could ever ask for!! And I'm not leaving him on he special day that we want to spend together!! So you can taunt me and judge me all you want!! But when I get married, I don't care if I get your blessing or not!! It's my wedding!! And I'm not letting you ruin my love life!!!"
