Colton’s POV

Finally game day.  I have waited so long for this day. Me being one of the two head captions I was pumped so ready to get this school day over just so I can get to the game. Shew I really got to get up and shower if I wanna be on time so I get up grab a pair of blue boxers, my dark blue jeans and my white tee that shows my muscles off. Get in and do all my shower stuff get out the get dressed. When im dress I hear a knock on my door.

“Who is it?” I ask through the door. But all I hear in return is giggling, that must be one thing it’s my adorable little sister sammi.

“Bubby are you dressed yet?” the sweet voice says

“Yep sis bubby’s dressed. Do you want to come in?”

“Yes please.”

“ok come on” I say as I unlock my bedroom door

“Bubby catch me” she yells. She knows that she is my world if anything ever happened to her I might just die. Since our mom died not long after she was born and then soon after dad started to drink I’m all she has.  So when she jump a quickly rush to catch her so she won’t fall and hurt herself.

“Sam are you ready for school?”

“Bubby, I’ve been ready I’ve been waiting for an hour!”

“ok ok lets go than” I say as I pick her up and carrying her down the steps. Once at the bottom I yell to dad that I’m leaving, not that he cares anyway.

I make sure sammi is scurlly in her car seat then get in the drivers seat myself I drive to the per-school. We sang and laughed at each other the whole way there.

When we arrive I jump out and run to get her out. I reach down to un buckle her and carry her in to the building.

“Hi Mrs. Heart. How are you today?” I ask the teacher.

“I’m good and how are you?” she responded.

“I’m good. Just here to drop sammi off.”

“Aw and how is little Miss Sammi?”

“I’m good but I don’t want bubby to leave me” she said starting to tear up.

“Hey bubby will be back in just a little while to get you then we’ll go to bubby’s game.” I promised

She started and went with Mrs. Heart into the classroom. I turned and headed back to the car to drive to school. This day better go by fast.

“Hey man what’s up?” My other caption Caiden says.

“Nothing much man, just ready to get this day over with go get Sam and play tonight. What’s up with you?”

“I’m just ready to play tonight.” See Caiden is the only one who knows about my home life and the only reason he figured it out was he saw my scar and had asked about it. I had always refused to tell anyone about what had happened but I was having a bad day and I knew I could trust him.

Flashback:

It was freshman year I had come home from school a little late I was just having a bad day but I knew I needed to put a smile on my face for my two year old sister. Mom will have been gone for almost a year now and dad had really picked up on drinking. When I walk in the house I see dad and he’s going towards sammi the look in his eyes was terrifying. I ran to grab her but when I turned my back I felt a sharp pain right below my left should blade going diagonally across my back to my lower right side.
