Chapter 27

Katie's POV

Today is my birthday! I'm turning 23. Louis says he has many things planned for today and I am really excited.

"Morning Lou-" I cut off myself to see that my husband wasn't next to me.

"Happy Birthday!" Louis and James ran in. James hugged me and I kissed his forehead.

"Thank you! Where are my other angels?" I asked.

"There still sleeping" Louis said walking in again with a tray of breakfast food.

"Good it's going to be a long day they need all the sleep they need" I said.

"Mommy how old are you?" Jimmy questioned.

"23" I replied with a mouthful of food.

"Don't talk with your mouth full of food sweetheart." Louis said.

"Sorry," I frowned.

The boys left and got ready and even got Blake, Nikki and Kevin ready for me.

It was a bit humid today but still sunny so I but on a knee high skirt and a tank top.

"Kate you ready?" Louis asked. Walking in.

"Yeah ill be down in a minute." I said.

"Ill be in the car with the kids waiting." he said and walked out.

Diapers. Check. Bottles. Check. Snacks. Check. Kids. Check. Louis. Check.

I hurried downstairs to the front door grabbed my keys and sunglasses and opened the door.

"What took you so long," Louis asked.

"Never ask a woman that again." I replied. "we have to take care of way much more stuff than men. Right Nikki?" I said and she laughed. My little babies birthdays are in 2 months time has been flying by.

We stopped at a diner and pulled into a parking spot. I unloaded the car and held Blake in my arms and Jimmy's hand. Louis took Nikki and Kevin.

We walked in and stopped at the waitress.

"6 please" I asked.

"Right this way and may I say you have the most beautiful kids in the world," she said.

"Oh thank you how sweet of you," I replied. We sat down and ordered.

"I will have the French toast." I said.

"May I please have a pancake." jimmy asked.

"Are the eggs and hash-browns any good" Lou questioned.

"Yes they are" she replied.

"Ill have those then, thanks" he said.

She walked away and I got out the babies food containers. I feed them until our food came out and I tucked their food away.

The food was delicious. I demolished the whole entire thing under 2 minutes. As i loaded up the kids in the car I heard two voices.

"Kaitlin?" One said.

"Linnie?" another said and my heart warmed up at the sound.

"Mom? Dad?" and the years filled up in my eyes.

"Oh my god I can't believe it's you," my mom said.

"It's been a year. Why haven't you visited." my dad questioned.

"GRANDMA GRANDPA!" Jimmy screamed running out of the diner Louis following after him.

"Aww little me got so big" my father said. We names Jimmy after him. "Hi Lou how have you been son?"

"Good dad we've missed you" hugging my father.

"So back to the question" my mom said giving a hug to Lou and jimmy.

"Well about 10 months ago, we had these 3 monsters enter our lives." I said opening the car door to reveal my babies.

"This is Kevin, Blake, and Nicole." I breathed out.

"Kaitlin I'm surprised three new grandchildren, how could you not tells us that, how could you not keep in touch" she said.

"I called you everyday for months and you never answered the both of you. you shunned me out of your lives when we got married." I confess.

"It's not a good time to fight with your mother." my dad said and tears filled my mothers eyes. "for the passed year she has been diagnosed with breast cancer..."

My hurt dropped and so did I.
