I woke the next morning in a bed. I heard light snores behind me. I turned around seeing Odell behind me.

Remembering last night, I started to cry. How could he?

Dominic beat me up because of a child and ontop of that, he raped me. Gosh I knew something was gonna happen.

I pray that I'm not pregnant.

" B , What's wrong ? " Odell said waking up. I sniffed. " Life is what's wrong . I don't even know why I'm still here , " I said.

" Brandy listen . You here for a reason . You have kids to protect . People care about you ma . Yo kids care about you , To mama care about you , yo sister care about you , and .... Me . I care about you B ," Odell said. I sniffed wiping my nose.

" Really ?" He nodded and kissed my cheek. " I'm glad he didn't really hurt you ma . I'm here . When you go get the kids ?" I sighed laying back down.

" Today , but I might go tonight . Just to make sure their safe , ya know If Dominic comes ..." I said. Odell laughed.

" Ma , Nobody come here . Trust me ." He said. I nodded and we got out of the bed.

" And Jayden likes these ." I grabbed the box of SpongeBob fruit snacks. Odell and I were taking groceries for the kids and us. After, we're gonna go to my house and get some clothes.

I don't want to be at the house by myself. And Odell doesn't want me there by myself anyways.

" Odell , what are we gonna do when you have practice ?" He shrugged and threw threw box of pop tarts in the car. " I might retire , " He said. My eyes widened.

" You can't ! Football has been your passion since middle school !" I said. He grinned and I pushed the cart. " Yeah , but I think it's time to quit . To much things going on right now ." I nodded in agreement to the last part, but the quiting football, im gonna have to get used to.

I mean't that I'm gonan take close care of Brandy, Harm, and Jay. And that's a promise. Their my family, and I'm gonna take care Of em.

I knew this Dominic nigga was no good news. He's nothing but a woman beater.

And he's not about to hurt Brandy like that. Not if I got anything to do with it.

Yeah you probably like that's none of your business. But nobody cares, together or not, Brandy's always gonna be my girl.
