"Sing with me Nyx." I cooed as I danced around my room; singing along with the oh-so-famous Nyx. Well— at least I was attempting to sing with her. I'd spent a long while trying to make music spout from those pretty lips of her's but she's always refused. I'll keep trying though, her song is a sound that I can't bear to live without."No, Apollo, you know I don't sing." She giggled as I grabbed her hand.
"Dance with me then." I spun her around and we danced the waltz as if our lives depended on it. Did I mention that I could dance? If not well I can. Yes, you heard it right, ya boy got hella moves. Still not good enough to put the moves on Nyx though.
Her beauty was beyond compare. Her skin was dark, much like my own, with a beautiful bluish tint to it. Her hair, a striking blend of black and white, each crystalline strand shining like the moon itself. Her allure pulled me in like high tide as I swam through the sea of stars in her deep midnight blue eyes. In my eyes, no other woman could hold a candle to her radiance, not even Aphrodite. But, of course, that was just my opinion. I wouldn't wanna say it out loud, that heathen would turn me into a maggot or something.
"Nyx, can I ask you something?" I turned down the music, hoping to gain her attention.
"Sure, shoot." She smiled softly.
"Why don't-"
"Somebody said shoot?" Ares waltzed in, with his war gear on and a spear in hand. Though he cut me off, I could only laugh; it's always violence with him.
"We didn't mean it like that. Now can we get a little privacy?" Nyx snapped. She always despised Ares. See Nyx didn't like violence and that's all Res thought about.
"Yeah, everything is copesthetic on our end." I co-signed, the quicker I can defuse this situation the better.
"I agree, so fuck off with your nonsense" she hummed, moving to sit on the nearby lounge chair.
"You know what, I'm getting really tired of you and this pissy little peacekeeper persona. You are the Goddess of the night for fuck sake. Don't you know what happens at night? People fight, they steal, they kill, and they have absolutely no remorse. Violence is my namesake. It's what I do, what I control. So next time you think about snapping on me remember who you're talking to." He lowered his weapon, staring directly into Nyx's eyes for a moment before attempting to walk away.
"People only do those things because you lead them to! Because you can't bear the weight of peace! You always need a thrill and the cold rush of adrenaline..." She moved to stand directly eye to eye with him. At least to the best of her ability, her anger was beginning to consume her, her body growing in size the room darkening around us as she spoke. "You're constantly equating the fear of others to the power within yourself like an insolent child. Full of insecurity and spite. So do forgive me for only seeing you as a glorified playground bully who desperately needs the love of his long-forgotten mother. I don't respect you, nor your way of life."
