Please be someone else, please be someone else, I'll never say another curse word again, just please don't let it be him.

Lance thought, slowly turning around to see none other than-

"Brandon?" Keith asked, shock clearly written on his face.

The guy was taller that Lance remembered, of course it was highschool he saw him last but, somehow he kept the same features. His hair was dirty blond with, orange tips? That's new. His eyes where a hazel color, kinda like oak wood. Tall, probably just a bit shorter than Shiro. Brandon was also...bigger than he remembered. He wasn't fat or anything just a bit more muscular.

Brandon's eyes lit up with excitement. "It is you! I haven't seen you since senior year! Still smoking I see." He bent over and gave Keith a hug, Keith hugged back hesitantly still looking a little shocked.

"Ah humm." Lance pretended to clear his throat.

Brandon turned around, looking at Lance for a moment before he recognized him. "Lance McClain! You haven't changed a bit! Still working to be an photographer?"

"Graduated actually, I got my master's degree a little less than a month ago." He stated bitterly, trying his best not to make the most hate filled face at him

Brandon just kept smiling. "That's great! From what I can remember you were amazing and very passionate about it."

From what I remember you where a dick. Lance thought to himself.

Brandon smiled turning his attention back to Keith. "And how about you? Did you ever become an artist or a florist?"

Keith smiled back slightly, looking down. "Uh, yeah actually. I work at a little flower shop around the corner. I uh, still sketch and paint with my free time." He began fiddling with his sleeves and biting his bottom lip.

"That's amazing! I remember you always loved flowers, red ones especially." Brandon said, looking down at his watch.

"Shit, hey listen, I gotta go back to work but here's my new number." He handed Keith a piece of paper with numbers scribbled on it. "I'd love to catch up with you. Whenever you get the chance just hit me up. Anyway enjoy your day out boys!" He yelled, running out of the building.

Keith stared down out the paper and chucked to himself.

He always did have shitty handwriting. He thought to himself, pulling out his phone and typing in the number.

"I'm sorry, but that was something straight out of a chick flick." Lance said, taking an a long puff from his cigarette.

Keith chuckled a bit. "Yeah, that was something unexpected."

"Unexpected my ass. Your highschool sweetheart just gave you his number, tell me that's not a cliché romance movie."

"I wouldn't say 'sweetheart' I dated him for a year or two, nothing to serious." That was a bit of an understatement, Keith and Brandon did take things a bit far at times, but never did anything he regretted. Brandon was aggressive at times and had a bit of an alcohol problem but, he'd never hurt Keith. From the looks of him he cleaned up quite a bit.. maybe Keith would talk to him later.

"Didn't he go to school to be a lawyer?" Lance asked, suddenly the cigarette in his hand became a lot easier to smoke.

"Yeah, from the looks of it I'd say he is one." Keith said, glancing back at the door.

Lance ignored the burning jealousy sensation in his chest. "Yeah, anyway let's eat!"

They left probably a little over an hour later, Lance had somehow convinced Keith to go to the mall with him.

"Shiro asked me to get his eyeliner, he doesn't like the new one, Hunk needs more spices and I was going to get Pidge a present." He insisted.

"Oh fuck, he's getting top surgery tomorrow isn't he? Almost forgot, I'm so happy for him, no more buying binders."

"Yep, but he's nervous as fuck and wants us all to be there with him." Lance said, trying to hide the concerned on his face.

To be honest, Lance was pretty shit at hiding emotions, eventually he'd break down and tell Hunk everything while sobbing. On those day's Hunk would call everyone over and they'd all watch conspiracy theory documentaries. Mostly one's about aliens.

Keith smiled, thinking about how Lance would go all wide star eyed everytime they narrator started talking about new evidence found near area fifty one. Or how he'd yell "IT'S ALIENS! TELL HIM PIDGE!!!" Every time the narrator said anything remotely about aliens being fake.

Lance looked over at Keith, seeing him smiling back on memories. It made him happy to see Keith smile, it's a very rare thing to see Keith smile and when he dose it feel like you just rediscovered the world. Like all the bad from the world just vanishes and all you can see is the good until the smile fades.

Lance discovered that Keith was the only thing on his mind until they finally reached the mall.

     Hahahahahah I'm a shitty person.
But anyway! Don't fret my young sinners I will still be updating this story as much as I can.
And with that I bid you farewell.
