Despite the fact that every instinct in my body told me to run screaming for the door, I turned and faced Umbridge, Fudge, Dawlish and Kingsley; the portraits on the walls were still looking hopeful. I bet this is the most interesting thing to happen since they’ve been here.

“Have you or have you not been betraying information to Albus Dumbledore?” Umbridge snarled, getting right into my face.

“Meow.” I answered.

“Answer me!”

“Meow meow meow, meow meow meow! Meow meow! Meow!”

“ENOUGH!” she shouted at me. “Stop playing games potter, tell me the truth.”

I meowed again, and as I saw her hand reaching for her wand I understood what I had to do. Oh how I hate my life. I burst into tears.

Big.

Soppy.

Wet.

Gross.

Tears.

The tears that bimbo’s use when they’re manipulating people.

Oh wait, that’s what I’m doing.

But am I a bimbo? That it the question.

I’m a sort of bimbo.

Maybe I’m half a bimbo...

Half bimbo, half llama, half cat, half human.

“That doesn’t wo-ork!” Lucy sang in my head.

Pfft, I was never good at math anyway.

“By any chance, could she have the hex of the cat?” Dawlish, the auror, chimed in as umbridge looked murderous. at least someone in here is smart.

“Cattatonia.” Umbridge said, waving her wand at me.

“…a-and I just t-t-thought…I was s-s-stup-pid…” I sobbed in English – or human language....I wonder if cats can understand what people say – or if they can only understand certain languages. Do different cats speak different languages?

There’s some food for thought.

“I know you were stupid.” Umbridge snapped. “And a liar; a cheat. Your disloyalty-“

“N-no.” I said looking up at her with my big and tearful eyes. I deserve an academy award.“I w-wanted to do something for y-you.”

“Go on.” Fudge said rather intrigued.

“I wanted to gain their trust, and then turn them in.” I sniffed. “I thought –I thought maybe you’d like me…if I… If I caught H-H-Harry Potter and D-dumbledore.”

“Miss hale, I did like you.”Umbridge said exasperatedly.

“I’m so sorry.” I cried, fresh tears spilling down my front. “b-but I did find s-something ou-out.” I hiccupped.

“Yes?” said three eager voices.

“I heard – they said – If Dumbledore got caught….”

“Yes?” Urged Umbridge.

I was trying to think on the spot. Difficult here. It’s Harry’s job to think on his feet.

“They said he – he was going to find Sirius black.” I found myself saying. Behind them all, I thought Kingsley was going to have a fit. He had no idea what was going on; who’s side I was on; anything. “And h-hide in New- New Zealand.”

“New Zealand?” Fudge repeated, excitement written all over his stupid face. I want to hit him.

I hiccupped again. “They said no one would suspect him there.”
