A boy, with strange lime green hair and lavender eyes, stood at the threshold of his new school. His jaws dropped at how massive the entrance was. And not only was it massive, it was also high-tech. You know those entrances at the train station where you have to shove your ID into a machine, so you can get in. It was, basically, like that, the only thing differing were the guards and drones stationed everywhere. Some of them even gave suspicious glances at him.

He hesitated, not sure if he should attend the school. Looking, back one last time, he saw the way he came. The school was an artificial island at the edge of Japan which meant there was a bridge connecting it to the mainland. Maybe, you haven't heard but a few years ago the world was plagued with explosions, one of them being Tokyo.

The government had this great idea to build a school since half of Tokyo was obliterated. It was a hot debate among the citizens. A lot of people thought it was surreal building a school out of broken material. But, the irrationality soon ended as it was made possible.

And the school is now one of the top magnet schools in the whole world. A lot of millionaires graduated from it, earning its name Katakura Academy, but that was only for normal people. In truth, it was a household where they keep the unwanted from the whole world, the people known as; eon wielders. For them the school was named Hikari no Tentai Academy; a training camp that house monsters.

The boy's mind argued with himself. If he were to step inside this school he may never come out the same, and if he were to turn back now then his life wouldn't change. His mind argued with the two possible outcomes.

"I've come this far." He glanced one last time at the bridge that connected the school to the mainland. He walked forward.

At the entrance he gave the guard a letter in which the guard sternly took. The unnamed guard opened the letter bowing his head slightly as if to give permission for him to enter. "Have a pleasant time, Sir Kaoi."

Stepping through the gates, it was more eco-friendly than he thought. The smell of salt hit his nose, considering that the place was located in the sea. An ornamental fountain immediately greeted him at the other side. Kaoi didn't see the school building just yet. But, the garden was amazing, it had different assortment of flowers and hedges that lined the pathways.

He continued walking. Ushered to the side were plain white buildings, guessing how they were placed at the side it was the student's dorms. The buildings weren't tall enough to block the sun out of his view. At the end of the garden he saw a steel archway that had green luscious vines coiling its way around the gray metallic metal. The archway was very plain except for some steel butterflies that were attached through the interior.

The letter said to precede to the Building of History but.... Kaoi didn't know where that was. Walking through the archway he could see the school building which was still from a far. From the rumours he'd heard, the Building of History is a massive library, containing books that had utter nonsense written all over the pages, to books that actually have good content.

Walking, a little bit further he saw another gate that was made out of gold that was at least 2 meters tall. Beyond, the gate the trees lessened in number and the ground was replaced with high standard marble. Kaoi could see the school building in the distance. From, how far the school was he assumed he still had 10 kilometres left till he got to the building.

Now, that his attention was diverted back to where he was standing. He saw a girl who had brown hair standing in front of the gates. The girl waved at him and signalled him to come closer. Cautiously, he made his way to the girl
