Chapter 7- Change
-Emily feels weightless. Her mind is floating some place. She was exhausted for the weekend.
She did the usaul.
Grab a pack of gummy beers.
A glass of milk.
Pen.
Paper.
She wrote.
Over with You
Throw it all away
Like a garbage from yesterday
I cleared my mind and I say hey
I got to move on today
It’s been weeks and nights
I’ll try and try
Every second you’re in my mind
I don’t know why my heart is blind.
Cause someone like you
With the things you do
Makes me shout those three words
I LOVE YOU
I might just forget
You’re in my head
Will I ever regret?
These rhyming words
It may have hurt
But it’s the only thing
To feel cured.
To feel secured.
Leave it all behind
Please stop the rewind
Screw my memory
You left my heart hanging in the tree
Please set me free
I can’t untangle
You have the perfect angle
But it’s for the best
I’ll let my heart rest
I’ll find someone better than you
The one who loves me true
Sad but true
I’m still not over with
YOU.
Emily put up a grumpy face again. Her eye bugs were so big that it looked like it was bitten by an insect. She wore her contacts and wore sunglasses. She needs to go out and shop. For the first time in her life.
Change her wardrobe.
Change her hair.
Change her everything.
So the battle will be fair.
