Martina

*I was playing with the coffee machine, trying to figure out what each button means when Pepe appeared next to me with a cheeky smile on his face*

M: I know, I know. I must look an idiot to you

P: No, not at all. I just thought... Stephie said that you have experience.

M: Well...

P: You lied in the application paper

M: Don't tell her please! This job is important for me

P: No, I won't tell her, but... why is this job so important to you?

M: Uh... I need money. Because I didn't... graduate, I can't have another job. This is the best place

P: Oh, I'm... sorry.

*I looked at his face again and my eyes looked directly at his blue ones. He meant every word he told me. And I lied. But we must sacrifice some things for the greater good, right?*

Me: Martina? Could you help me please?

M: Uhm... sure

*I turned from him to Mercedes who gave me a spatula to mix the cream*

M: So... you've been working here for...

Me: One year

M: Oh, so you know it well here. Which desserts do clients like, what time of the day is the most crowded. And the annoying clients too

Me: Tiramisu, morning and most of the clients. Yeah, I do know a lot about things here.

M: You worked as a waitress too?

Me: Yes, I was a waitress but then Pepe came and I decided to stay in the kitchen. It's the best place.

M: I'd like to be a waitress more than being stuck here.

...

*A whole day and I didn't have a chance to see my target. One day in the café is so long. Luckily I am not alone.*

M: See you tomorrow guys?

P: Yeah, bye!

Me: Bye!

*I sat in my car, drove home and jumped on the couch. How long will I have to do this circus. Poor Pepe, I have lied to him and now he is sorry for me. But... this is called acting. My job requies lying.*
