"Watch it, loser." Tetsu snapped at his sister when Mika almost toppled his brother's drink."Gomen, my fault this time. Oooh, can I have your octopus weiners?"
And the bickering started again, the peaceful minutes that we had a while ago has passed. I sighed heavily as I looked at them tiredly.
"You guys need to stop this or else." I gave them a glare. They stopped talking and stared at me. Mika started eating again while Tetsu crossed his arms and pouted.
"You do know that always arguing about insignificant stuff is not healthy for you guys. I don't want you two trying to kill each other just for a sausage. And please, if you do try to kill each other, don't do it infront of me.""You don't have to be so cold, Haru-chan. We're just lightening the mood." Mika winked.
"Yeah, Haruka. You seem to be so tense since yesterday." Tetsu brought his chair closer to Mika's, a gesture that they're on the same pace.
"Tetsu is right. We noticed you were kind of distracted yesterday after school. If there is something or someone bothering you, you can always count on us, Haru-chan. We're bestfriends, you know." Mika said as she gave me a smile."Look guys, I'm not tense nor distracted. It's just your imagination. I'm perfectly fine. Or not..." I mumbled at the last part. Not wanting to show my emotions in the open, I immediately put on a pokerface.
"What's that?" Mika caught on while smiling widely. Tetsu remained silent.
"Nothing." I looked away from their sharp eyes.
"Chihiro-kun didn't come to school today. Definitely a first, right?" Mika suddenly blurted out while keeping a steady look on me.
"Yeah. Probably a cold." I stared back at her not showing even the tiniest emotion on my face. Tetsu's brows furrowed, his light brown eyes were full of suspicion.
I kept myself from snapping at them, I put my hands on my lap, digging my nails on my palms.
"Why can't you just tell me straight what you guys are thinking? I don't like the way you two look at me."Mika sighed as she look at her brother, gesturing him to talk. Tetsu clicked his tongue in reply while Mika groaned as she rolled her eyes.
"Haru-chan. Let me say it again, if ever you have a problem, you can always count on us."
"We'll do anything for you, Haruka. Anything."I stared at them, confused. A few conclusions started crossing my mind that almost all of it are the same. Could they possibly... No. I won't have it.
I stood up from my chair.
"I think we should go back to class.""Uh-huh. Sure, Haru-chan." Mika smiled. I didn't missed their not-too subtle signs to each other. I gave them a smile in which they returned back, even Tetsu. His smile is quite rare so I treasured it im my memories.
After cleaning up our mess, we walked back to our classroom. Upon entering, we were greeted by a crowd of girls gathered at the corner squealing and chattering loudly. Being a representative, I do not tolerate this kind of display. I excused myself from the two and walk towards the crowd. I took a deep breath and smide widely as I usually do. I clapped my hands loudly grabbing their attention.
"Minna, please go to your seats before sensei arrives. Come on now."
They obediently dispersed and went back to their respective seats but didn't stopped their whispering.. Honestly, I was creeped out on how they acted like robots. Then I felt Mika's painful grip on my shoulders from my back and whispered in my ears excitedly."Haru-chan, you lucky lady. They're super gorgeous!" She said with forced whisper had hurts my ear.
I turned to her, "Who?"
"You're looking in the wrong way." She said as she grabbed my head and forcefully turned it.
I failed to notice the three unfamiliar faces staring in my way. I frowned at their expressions. The one that ticked me off the most is the one seated beside my seat. Grinning like some kind of idiot, he's fiddling his messy jet-black hair while looking at me with playfulness on his navy-blue eyes. I silently clicked my tongue while containing my disgust all to myself. And the one with the gray hair and bluish-black eyes is leaning on his table stared at me like I was some nuisance. I mentally asked myself why the unfriendly glare. As for the third one, he looks fine. He seems to be reading a... shoujo manga? His snow white hair isn't the only his noticable trait but also his shockingly pale gray eyes.
I yelped as I felt a poke on my sides. I turned around and saw Mika holding back a laugh and Tetsu's pissed off face.
"Like what you see, Oujo?""Mika, please shut up and let's go to our seats. And Tetsu, stop frowing." I flicked their foreheads and went to our seats, and at the same time, the gray-haired boy went to his own seat which happen to be behind me. I could seriously feel his stabbing glare at my back. Mika's seat is in front of mine while Tetsu is in my left.
I am trying my best not to be bothered by the grinning idiot on my right. I can't even talk to Mika after shutting her down, she might get the wrong idea after all. After a few minutes of gritting my teeth in annoyance , the teacher finally arrived then asked the new comers to introduce themselves. The guy on my left stood up with a grin on his face which made some of the girls to squeal as if he's some kind of celebrity.
"I'm Tachibana Tooru. The second of the three. Please to meet you." I happen to catch him wink at Ruri-san, one of the girls who didn't fluster. Second of the three? Then, are they brothers? That explains why they all look the same. Then the guy who's glaring at me spoke. We all turned around.
"My name is Tachibana Seijuro. The youngest. Please to meet you." He said it in a cold manner."Tachibana... Rin... Ano... the eldest. Nice to meet...you all." Boredom was evident in his voice and his facial features. Then he took a quick glance at me before sitting.
And when I faced the front, I saw Mika's face contourted with happiness.
"So... Perfect, right?" She whispered closely so that only me could hear it. I only smiled back."Not really." I sighed. Their first impression is so terrible I could perfectly tell it's all true.
Besides, I already have someone.
And he'll never leave me.
