Pond Monsters

I gently dunked my head underneath the glistening surface of water. The feeling I had around my entire body was just exhilarating. I had never once had this kind of interaction with water. The only forms that I'd seen water was in a stream, cup, or at the bottom of a toilet. I opened my eyes to a slit. Everything around me was dark almost had the color of an evergreen tree.

Then, I felt like something just wasn't right. There was slight movement far beneath me. I saw the dark figure swim from side to side. I hadn't thought that it noticed me. So, I slowly start moving toward shore. I made sure not to make an big splashes because a lot of underwater creatures have an ability that works a little bit like sonar. They have tiny little hairs all across their skin so that when the water waves across it, they know that something in the water moved and where that something is. Either way, it didn't matter what I did.

I hadn't even gotten to the point where I could touch the floor of the pond when, from up underneath me came something...massive. It tripled, no, quadrupled my height. It came rushing up right past my face, breaching the surface. It had a diamond shaped fin with a tail following the body. The mouth of the massive creature was open so you could see the sharp and pointy, white teeth. It was almost like the creature was showing off, the way it breached the surface. After recovering from being stunned from the sight of the horrific beast, I swam as fast as I could to land. I felt my body being propelled even more with each stroke of my arms. With the help of the gloves, I reached land in no time. I stumbled onto the land and caught my breath with my hands on my knees while watching the fabric go back to it's normal color.

I straightened my back and saw the same flashing LED light on my forearm from when I got the man in the suit's call. I wiped my thumb over the small square next to it. The palm of my hand lit up with the Index. On the top left of the Index, there was a bold word, "Nessy" then it said in Italics, "Nessiteras rhombopteryx". Then, a computerized voice spoke, it said, "Nessiteras rhombopteryx, otherwise known as Nessy, or The Loch Ness Monster, is a massive beast. Initially, the beast was made up by a man by the name of Peter Scott. He took a photograph of a muddy puddle and zoomed in on the picture until the photograph looked like a picture of a blurry beast. The creature was thought to be actually spotted in the Loch Ness Lake. Based on what witnesses stated, scientists developed a genetic mutation of a whale, thus creating a real life Nessy. "
