Reunion was in the air. Trace layed back on the leather sofa. He preferred his rooms to have a big window to look out at the skyline of the city, where he stayed. He was a man of luxery and enjoyed every minute of it.
The room began with the living room. The carpeting was a rose red and contained a flat screen TV with hundreds of channels,a fake fireplace, a sofa and coffee table and a chandelier that hang above it all.
If you were to walk into the room, you'd see the living room and straight ahead, you'd see the window. The Tokyo skyline flashed with the lights ontop of skyscrapers and electronic billboards. Too the right of the window was the kitchen. It wasn't visible from the living room unless you stood right in front of the window.
To the left was the bedroom. It contained two queen-size beds and a dresser. A Tokyo designed lamp sat on top. A curtain was on the empty wall and behind it was a door that led to a balcony. This balcony contained a hot tub made for four.
The bathroom was the next room through the kitchen. It has an exquisite bathtub and toilet. This room and the kitchen has the same type of tiles.
For the first time in six years, Drew saw trace's face. He seemed to have aged alot more. His face appeared to be more gritty. His hair was still slicked back like usual and he wore the same type of clothing. A blue button up shirt and black dress pants with loafers.
"What a surprise." Trace's voice didn't even seem to change much either. It was still deep and gravely. If he were to hum, it would sound like a light dog growl more than it would an actual hum.
Trace stood up and walked to drew to examine his face. "You don't look like yourself." Trace told him.
"You're one to talk." Drew was going say it but thought it would be rude. This is the man that funded their brief adventure six years ago after all.
"Time will do that. How are ya Trace?" He said that instead.
"Pretty excited to tell you the truth." The answer stunned Drew. Trace wasn't one too be excited about something like this. He was always in something for the thrill. Not the actual goal.
"We're back!" He chuckled. "The old crew.
"This room is our crew?" Drew asked as he scanned the room.
Trace laughed. "Still the same drew. You may look older, but your words still have that bite."
"What is a dog without it's bite?"
"An adorable, innocent puppy?" Ethan asked.
Drew looked at him like he was crazy.
"What. You asked it."
Trace once again laughed. He never laughed at anything people said. It was more like actions are what amused him.
"You two. It's like having two funny bones."
"Where is everyone?" Drew changed the subject after he faked clearing his throat.
"Still can't get a hold of Brianna. Our rich friend had some business to attend to with his company."
"So it's just us." Drew said, looking a little irritated.
"Woah. I didn't say that. They'll be here. My friend is a man of his word for the most part. And Brianna is well.... Brianna."
Drew scoffed. "For the most part." He mumbled.
"We'll find her. She can't resist finishing this I'm sure."
