Chapter two
The previous chapter.
"Anna, look" Emerson whispered as he tugged on my shirt pointing over as Emerson cling to me and I looked over seeing slivers.
---
Their body grind against metal, seeing burls of silver and metal making a groaning noise as the Silvers bodies shuffled. My eyes focused on what the Sliver was holding in hand, seeing a dismembered arm, leaving a black pool of blood befinde itself. I wanted to puke, I squeezed Emerson's hand, letting him know things are going to bloody.
"Emerson, no matter what happens you do not move from this spot" I said as my tone was tight. Emerson's brown eyes winded, his mouth gaped open letting out a scream, making my ear ring. Just in time I moved my body in one movement as I swiftly pulled out my hand gun, blowing the Slivers face off, the blood spattered over my face. As Sliver's let out a blood curling scream of disapproval, I snatched up Emerson into my arms, sprinting to the nearest bathroom. As my eyes wildly searched for the sign hanging above our heads, my eyes came the bathroom sign, hearing the screeches of the Slivers as they followed close behind, feeling Emerson tighten his arms around my neck.
Breathing heavily turning sharps corners, makes Slivers loose balance. Pushing open the family bathroom door, putting Emerson down. "Anna, I'm scared!" Emerson cried out as he held onto me for dear life, having seconds to spare. "Emerson, you know the rules, don't come out of this bathroom, till I give the secret code." I said harshly removing Emerson's hand. Closing the door, running in different directions and not glancing back looking back. My legs ached with pain as I turned very corner, my mouth taped open needing, wanting more air. Turning around pulling out both handguns from my thighs, shooting Slivers as they hit the floor.
"One, two, three, four" I counted as they dropped to the ground, pulling the trigger as nothing came out. 'What I thought I filled these?! Dammit' I thought as I once again sprinted, moving into one of the aisles, I looked down at the aisle seeing four more Slivers coming my way, pushing shelve off balance, feeling the cool metal under my hands as pulled and pushed, knowing I have only seconds left before shit hits the fan. As it finally hit its breaking point, the shelve started to over, falling onto the remaining Slivers as they screeched. As my heart beat like a drum in a open chest, my eyes scanned the area seeking out more Slivers. My eyes glued one Sliver as it shoved me into a shelf, making loose focus on it, I groaned in pain peeling my eyes open. As Silver as now shoving me up against the wall, my eyes widen at the speed, grabbing my knife out of my shoe putting it inside the mouth of the Sliver, as it locked its jaw on it.
Facing my nightmare and death at this very moment, it's eyes were bone chilling. As it continued to grow closer to my face, I grinding my teeth together as the weight continued to grow as the Sliver pushed. The burly blue eyes that were now lifeless and didn't have meaning to them. Hearing a gun go off, hitting the Sliver right into the head. The weak spot of a Sliver. 'Two, three, four' I counted, the Sliver dropped dead on the side of me, feeling the cold mental though my clothes. I sat there motionless as I panted heavily, trying to find the beat of my heart, I removed the Sliver's body off of mine rolling off of me throughout effort.
Seeing a man standing right in front of me, I opened my mouth but quickly closed it and started at the unknown man that stood in front of me, he looked no older than twenty years of age. His lips placed a smile on them showing a perfect smile. "I think the words you're looking for is 'thank you for saving me'" the man said. 'What the hell just happened ?' I thought to myself, as my jaw tighten as he continued to stare at each other, I put my knife back into my shoe as he copied my movements. I ignored him, as jogged back to the bathroom, concerned about Emerson remembering the harsh tone I had with him earlier.
"Hey wait up!" The man said feeling a hand on my shoulder. I swiftly moved my foot under his knees making him falling him fall as I held my ground putting my foot onto his throat. "State your name and business" I said in a tight tone feeling his Adam's apple move, he raised his hands showing mercy. "Hey! Take it easy you're the first human I saw in six months!" He explained. My eyes narrowed down at him, " state your name and business" I said through clenched teeth, moving my foot against his throat. "It's Grayson, I came here for supplies" Grayson choked on his word. I removed my shoe from his throat, "good boy" I said, like I believe the words that came out of his mouth.
I turned on my heels, and continued to jog back to the restrooms. "Hey wait! I didn't get your name" Grayson said. I ignored him, as reached the bathrooms, whispering, "she sit on a swing and she as sweet as candy" I whispered. The door opened, seeing Emerson's red puffy face as his brown eyes filled with tears. "Anna!" Emerson cried going into my arms as he started to cry, I gently rubbed his back and hummed a tune. "Shh, it's okay Anna's here" I rocked him back and forth feeling his hot tears soaking into my shirt. "Hey, are you going to tell me or what?" Grayson said, I turned around sending him a death glare, he fell quiet after. As he watched me. "Anna, hello and goodbye" I said annoyed, grabbing Emerson's kit off the bathroom floor, walking off quickly, knowing that Grayson is following me. As I reached the front doors, seeing that the acid rain fell hard into the dirty streets. 'Oh hell isn't my lucky day' I thought. 'We're going to be here a couple of days.'
