Anyways! On with the story!

Wally yelled and grabbed the fire extinguisher off the wall and sprayed it at the android/Blaine as it started to walk towards him.

"Artemis! The door!"

Artemis rushed to open the door leading to the corridors to the other bunkers and went through, Wally coming through next, then slamming the door on the android.

They stood in a dark black space, barely seeing two feet in front of them.

"Explain." Artemis ordered.+

"Well, this is an island that's full of experiments. An experiment gone wrong that thinks he's an actual person but not? But that doesn't explain 'Jake'! I don't know! I'm grasping straws here!"

Wally kicked the wall angrily.

"Wait! I've got it!" He yelped happily. "Oh, that's clever... evil and clever! The nanocloud. Microorganisms that automatically process any organic matter, living or dead. And convert them into... that thing. Anything attacks this place it automatically becomes part of the on-site security!"

"Living or dead?" Artemis asked, staring at Wally worriedly.

"Yes, living o-o-or..." Wally trailed off, getting what Artemis was saying.

"And we don't have anything protecting us from this 'nanocloud'... so it's only a matter of time before..."

"Before we change into the same thing as Blaine..." Wally finished for Artemis.

"So how long have we got?"

"I have no idea." Wally answered, unsure. "But we're clearly not meant to make it off this island. After we find Cookie Boy and take down the force field, if we haven't already changed into one of those things then we're going to get blown out of the water. We have to do both of those things and find a way out before we're changed, sounds impossible, doesn't it?"

"Unauthorised personnel may not leave their bunker." Said Dick over the speaker in the corridor in a monotone voice.

"Oh, shut up." Said Wally.

"What? Grumpy." Dick laughed. He sucked his teeth. "Bad combo: that hair and no sense of humour."

"That Cookie Boy again?" Asked Artemis.

"Yeah, he- oi, what is wrong with my hair?"

"You mean apart from its striking resemblance to a vegetable that someone may use as a nose for a snowman? I'm scanning you now. You're in another bunker. The powers on."

"How can you hack into everything? It should be impossible." Artemis said. "You're in a bunker!"

"Long story." Dick paused. "Is there a word for 'total screaming genius' that sounds modest and a tiny bit sexy?"

"Wally. You call me Wally."

Dick smiled to himself. "I see what you did there. But Wally doesn't sound sexy, a bit dorky, yeah. Sexy? No." The device on Dick's wrist beeped. "Check the floor on level, there's a breach, should be a way out. See you later."

Wally checked the floor around him. "Ah-ha! A hatch! It looks like it's been used already and they tried to block it off behind them."

Artemis looked behind her at the door where Blaine and Jake were trapped in the room. "Can't imagine why." She said sarcastically.

"This must go straight down."

"Where the others are?" Artemis asked.

"Yeah." Wally grunted as he opened the hatch.

"Yeah, someone has definitely gotten out this way too," Artemis said, staring down at the ladder.

Superboy and Miss Martian walked through a bunker filled with rusty old androids, their steps echoing off the damp walls.

"Ah!" Miss Martian yelped as the eyes of the android lit up next to her with a light blue hue.

Miss Martian and Superboy stood there in shock.

It didn't try anything. It just stood there, looking at them.

Miss Martian took a hesitant step forward.

"Hello?" She asked cautiously. The Light may have thought these were weak and insane inventions but their definitions of things were quite wonky in her opinion. What could be weak and insane to them could just be human like qualities to everyone else, right?

The android lifted its crimson hand and held it out, palm up.

A confused smile spread across Miss Martian's face. "Oh..." She mumbled, keeping her voice sweet and upbeat, not really sure what to say.

A small flame appeared in the palm of the hand and Miss Martian took a quick step backwards. "That's great! Clever... If you could not do that though, please?" She asked kindly, fear seeping into her voice as she already felt the small flame beginning to weaken her and maker her feel groggy.

The hand turned upwards in a 'stop' motion and the flame engulfed all of the hand, burning brightly and the heat coming off it in vicious waves.

The flame turned into a ball and Miss Martian barely had time to duck before she felt the fireball singe the ends of her matching hair. Alarm took over her and she grabbed Superboy's hand, who had already started pummelling the androids, and ran for the exit.

All the other crimson androids in the room slowly gained back the blue in their eyes and woke up, also throwing fire balls and in some cases, water, at the fleeing aliens.

"Run! The next three rooms all have waking androids! Turn left, then two rights and you should be safe! Run for it! They're slow, but they'll recover and become faster than you'd believe!" Came the voice from the PA. "Go! Go! Go!"

Superboy and Miss Martian ran for it, sliding under the last door as it was closing, thanks to Cookie Boy.

Miss Martian collapsed against the wall, breathing heavily due to the overexposure of flames.

"So. Anway. The other two seem to call me Cookie Boy. What do I call you?"

"Uh... erm." Miss Martian stuttered, mind still hazy. "I'm M'gann, he's Connor."

"Lovely name. M'gann. A version of Megan, I believe, yeah? First girl I ever fancied was called Megan."

"Okay," Said M'gann, unsure how to respond and too worn out to think properly.

"Actually, he was called John. I was going through a phase..." He trailed. "Just some flirting to keep you cheerful."

Superboy scoffed, stood up and walked to the door, only to jump back when he heard the banging on the door. They would be getting through soon.

Miss Martian had fear etched on her face.

"Anytime you want to start flirting or cracking jokes again, that's fine by me." She said breathlessly, taking note of Superboy's annoyed scowl deepening.
