A/N: This is were we meet Heartburn.

No one's POV:
Deep in the depths of a smoldering volcano, on the west side of Yiril, lay a beautiful girl with firery red hair. She was 16. Her name was Heartburn, and she had no idea of what fate and destiny had in store for her.
She was sometimes clueless, needed to be taught again and again, yet she gave no thought about her clueless-ness. She was not royalty, but her father was the captain of the king's army, so that gave her a bit of an advantage in her studies. She sighed as she looked longingly out of her bedroom window. Her parents never let her outside, and she, being the obidient child, never asked why. But she did over hear her parent saying she could never go outside because of the Dark-ones. She shuddered at the thought. The Dark-ones were evil creatures. They had black eyes, leather-like skin, razor sharp teath. When Heartburn was young, she was taught that facing one would just be knocking on death's door. Accepting that rule that she could never go outside, she turned around on her heel and headed towards the washroom. Before she could even step foot in the washroom her mother bounded into her room.
"Hello mother." Heartburn greeted her mother like she always would. Nicely.
"Your father wants you." Her mother said sweetly.
"Ok mother." Heartburn responded. She was curious to see what her father had requested her for. She changed into her day clothes and headed to her father's study. When she reached the door, she knocked ever so slightly.
"Come in!" Her father's voice greeted her. She stepped into the room to find her father writing on a piece if parchment.
"Hello father, you requested me?" Heartburn asked politely.
"Much to my dismay, the Great One requested you." He said sharply.
"Ok, when shall we go?" She asked with curiosity.
"Not we, my young child, only you."
"Alone? Out there?" She questioned pointing toward the window.
"Yes, he wants to see you as soon as possible."
"Yes father. When shall I go?"
"Immediately." He said as if getting rid of his only child, which Heartburn thought that was what he planned.
"Yes father." And with that, she left the study.

Standing on the balcony of her room, Heartburn shifted into her pure form, and shuffled around nervously. She has never been more than fifty feet away from the volcano, now she was going to be thousands of feet away from her childhood home. Her parents stood there and waved her off and she bounded into the cool, sunset air. She roared in pure joy and flapped agains the rushing wind. Heading straight for the center of Yiril, where the Great One awaited her.
The Great One was an Elder dragon that watched over the seven lands. Sand, Water, Fire, Storm, Forest, Ice, and Dark. He was bigger than any dragon. Yet he was the kindest.
Heartburn decided to not waste any time, seeing that the sun was already gone. Her parents claimed that no one was safe at night. She flapped her wings faster and harder.
Before she could comprehend what was happening, she found herself standing, and gaping, at large pearly white gates. A person approached her. She had a white robe on and beautiful, long, blonde hair. Her eyes were a crystal blue.
"Welcome Heartburn." The stranger greeted her politely.
"How do you know my name?" Heartburn asked, terrified of this strange person.
"I'm one of the many helpers of the Great One, and I ask you to follow me." She stated
"Ok." Heartburn follows her, not knowing what was going to happen next.
She shall soon find out.
