People dancing close together, sharing each others sweat without meaning to. Not bad dancing, like sexual, but dancing nonetheless.
There, against a wall in the back of the room, stood the three girls who felt like the didn't belong. Which was technically true. in the mix of party-goers were the faces of new celebrities that have not hit the charts yet. But those three girls were not, nothing close to famous.
Cori, shy with new people but wild with the people she new. Fun loving as she was she wouldn't speak unless spoke to first. But whether or not she chose to speak to you her looks drew you over. Shoulder length brown red hair, pretty hazel eyes that were so very innocent (when she talked to her friends she sounded like the dirtiest whore in the world), and the perfect shapely figure and tanned skin. Basically everything guy wanted and she was nice. Her naivety had gotten her in trouble multiple times, she usually went for guys that screwed her over in the end. But because guys were pigs they liked that and took advantage of that, fortunately she had good friends and a good sister.
Dina, loud and lovely. When you met her you either loved her or hated her, there wasn't much of an in between. She didn't care what people thought anyways, but she was very opinionated, and smart. That's why people didn't like her, she was very blunt, and the truth hurts. She wasn't afraid to tell you off when you did something wrong. When you said something wrong she would correct you, but she was right so she wasn't making a fool of herself . But she was well liked, people were made better because of he and the beliefs she had. She made people realize that what they were doing was wrong, or that they should rethink their choices. Pacifist, that's what people didn't expect when they saw her or heard her speak. But the unpredictable way she acted made her stronger and made men want to wrap their mind around her, and try to figure her out.
And then there was Ricky, little sister of Cori, who everyone liked. While that in itself gave a big blow to her self-esteem she hid it. Pretended to be indifferent to what people said to her face, or behind her back. Sure, she had a god amount of friends that were strange and loved her as she loved them but, but did any of them really get it? Cori and Dina made her feel better but the way they said everything was great and that she was beautiful made her think even more that it was a lie. her pessimictic realist ways made her hard to talk to and her stubbornness made people upset, but it's hard to be different than you are. She wasn't model thin, or remotely close to it, she had dyed black hair and deep brown eyes rimmed with black eye liner. Her dark coloured clothing tended to make people uneasy and make them judge. Which was normal for all three of the girls.
All of the girls were often judged on their naivety which most people said was stupidity. Their painfully honest ways, which was considered rude. And how they didn't look like the perfect image that men wanted, yet people still liked them. A smile goes a long way as they say.
The three girls were best friends, no, sisters. Even thought Cori and Ricky were biologically they considered Dina to be as well. A fight or two just made their friendship stronger. Miles or days couldn't even keep this trio apart, with the newly made technology.
"Fixing my make up, be right back." Ricky said, making wild hand motions so the girls could see her talking. Her insecurity and want to be good looking leaking through her nonchalant statement. She swerved through the crowds of people dancing and over in the direction of the restrooms.
"I have to pee." Dina declared rather loudly, not caring at all if people heard her or if people thought it was unnecessary. Not like she couldn't fix it with one of her death glares or an awkward face to scare them away. She ran to catch up with Ricky, leaving Cori to stand alone in this party of people she doesn't know. Cori popped open another beer and drowned the consequences of having it. She wasn't shitfaced, but she wasn't sober. Just a little tipsy.
