Capitulum 2: 2014
The girl staring into the mirror smiles. Everything is ready, there is nothing left to do. She knows that her day is going to be perfect.
Her gown flows down gracefully, a train of silky lace gathered behind her. The pearly white dress is princess like, from the shoulders to the hips it hugs her figure in all the right places, flowing out just as it reaches her waist cascading like beautiful white mist. She looks like an angel.
She takes one last glance, knowing what is at risk, she takes a deep breath and walks away from the mirror. Towards the future, but in the meantime, towards the altar.
------------------------------
Tears well up in my eyes and with a sinking heart , I realize that all my mother's time and effort has been put to waste. By now I may as well resemble a raccoon but I don't really give a damn because the tears falling are of joy.
I can't believe my sister is getting married, in my head it's all surreal. She fell in love at such a young age and I honestly can't believe that at just 20 she's going off to live with her husband. In my heart, I feel sad, I am losing my sister after all. Nevertheless, at least she will be happy.
After pictures and everything else associated with the *glory* of weddings, I am finally allowed to take off the killer heels I was wearing and the first thing I do is jump onto my bed. Letting peaceful sleep take over.
As I drift off to dreamland, I think of a lot of things, my sister, her husband, mom and dad's tears, Luke's overjoyed state, the guests, a jet black Ferrari, my friends....wait....who the hell owns a jet black Ferrari in the family?! I grunt falling asleep quickly. I guess finding out is just a problem for future me...
---------------------------------
A girl had noticed. Nobody had ever noticed the Ferrari lurking in the shadows, and yet, she did. Although it was a quick glance, chances were she would start to wonder. Maybe not at the moment, but definitely at one point.
The man sitting at the wheel let out a grunt. His boss wouldn't like to hear this. He was going to be fired, he just knew. During the last 10 years, none of the other workers had ever been noticed and now, here he was, spoiling the chain of a job perfectly done.
He pondered what to do, but all thoughts of running away with the car flew out of his mind when he realized that the car had a tracker on it, and so did he. So he scratched his bald head, adjusted his sunglasses over his startled blue eyes, wiped a hand over his sweaty, red forehead and drove towards his boss.
--------------------------------
The newspaper held a startling headline:
30 YEAR OLD MAN FOUND DEAD AT THE CROCODILE FARM
Nobody knows how he ended up in there. Suspected time of death is around 2 am. The man whose name was Stephano, was brutally mutilated by the crocodiles. Surveillance cameras have shown that he had never visited the farm which is raising suspicion. He could be described as a blue eyed, bald man with an average height and pink skin.
