I stared at the small silver bracelet that was in my hands. It could have meant anything, really. But my mind was too hopeful that this little boy was found and taken care of. I slipped it in my pocket, hoping not to get more fingerprints than I had needed to on the bracelet, and continued to drive off.

I had wanted to smile, but I knew that I should have not. This bracelet might possibly be a hint, possibly. But that in no way meant that it was going to tell us where Eric is. A fingerprint, yes, but that is only a possible suspect.
