1. Why

The boy next door is probably the most irresistible person in the world. I don't know what to do because I just can't stop thinking about him. We talk about everything but he still won't even acknowledge me. I have extreme feelings for him but I think he likes another person.

We talk every day, he's actually my best friend but yep, he just sees me as that. Oh well, I'll just have to make him see me like that.

" Hi, Mrs. Mendes," I say as I enter the Mendes' household.

" Hello Talia, Shawn is upstairs," she replies, smiling at me.

I start up the stairs hearing him before I see him.

" Shawny-boy, where are you?" I say teasingly.

He absolutely hates it when anybody calls him that.

" In here," he says simply.

I walk into his family's studio where I heard his voice. He basically lives in there because he loves recording covers of his favorite songs.

" There she is, I've been waiting for you," he says smiling his gorgeous smile.

" Aww, I feel special. The Shawn Mendes was waiting for me," I say returning his smile.

" So I'm thinking about doing a cover of Say Something. What do you think?" he always asks me for advice on what songs he should sing.

" Go for it Shawny-boy. Your voice is so amazing, you literally could sing anything."

" Talia, you're the best friend ever."

Oh nothing like the friend zone, right. Ugh, I wish he would just open his eyes.

" I know I am. Let's just go get something to eat. Your voice needs a break," I smile a tortured smile.

" Sounds great, I'm in the mood for some pizza. You know how I love me some pizza," he says oblivious to my pain.

" Pizza sounds great right now."

Me and Shawn walked to the closest pizza place. We frequented this restaurant all the time, so when everybody yells at us when we walk in together we just smile and wave. We order our normal pizza, a large, thick crust pepperoni and extra bacon. We sit in a corner in our favorite booth.

" So how is all the planning for Magcon going?" I ask, getting a conversation going.

" It's going, um, ok I guess. I'll be gone for a long time with guys like Cameron Dallas, Matt Espinosa, Nash Grier, and Carter Reynolds, so it's going to be an experience. On top of that, I'm going to be in front of millions of people. It's really scary, just thinking about it makes me wanna pee myself," he looks panicked as eh talks to me about this.

"I bet. The hardest part for me is that you are going to be gone forever. I'm losing my best friend for a long time. Don't get me wrong, I am really happy for you, you're doing the thing you love the most. I love seeing you this happy."

" It's going to be hard for me too, not having you there with me. You are my biggest support system besides my mom. You have always been there for me and now I have to leave you and I feel bad."

" When do you leave?"

" To soon, I leave in two weeks."

" Well, we'll just have to make the best of the two weeks we have together," I say with a false smile on my face.
