2. Something Big

" Talia! Shawn's here," screams my mom up the stairs.

" Then send him up,"

I hear stomping up the stairs and then my door swings open.

" You perv! I could have been getting dressed, and yet you still barge in! God, Shawn!" I say teasingly, smiling the whole time I say it.

" But... I know you to much to know that you have been ready since like six." he smiles knowingly.

" Shut up Shawn, you don't know anything about me," I yell playfully.

" I've known you since we were three. I think I know a thing or two about you," he replies, throwing a pillow at me.

I jump up on top of my bed and pelt Shawn with all of the pillows on my bed. The room was filled with the sounds of our laughter as we were having a full on pillow fight. After twenty minutes of a heated pillow fight, we both collapsed on top of my bed.

" Remember our first pillow fight? We were three and finally our parents let us stay the night with each other after all the begging we did," he says angling his body do he was facing me head on.

"We were so happy that we got to spend more time with each other. Back then we were inseparable," I say loving the heart to heart talk we were having.

" Yea, I still feel like we are inseparable. All of my extra time goes to you. That's why I don't know how my relationship is going with Tess. I never spend any time with her, it all goes to you."

" You need to spend more time with her, " I scold him.

" Actually, that's not going to be needed. After tonight, we won't be together. There's another girl, I don't want her to not wait for me while I'm gone, so I'm gonna have to step up and do something about it.'

" Who is this lucky girl? Do I know her?" I start grilling him about this topic, secretly hoping it was me.

" You will have to find out shortly, won't you," he teases, playing with a strand of my hair.

We spent the day like this, my heart beating the whole time.
