Chapter 4

*Later that day*

*Emily*

I was finally ready to go back downstairs to talk to Jerome but I heard him and Mitch talking so i sat up against the wall listening to thier conversation. This is what I heard:

*Conversation Key: M=Mitch J=Jerome*

M: Hey Jerome, ummm I just went up to the guest room to check on what's her face and...

J: Her name is Emily. Just as a reminder Mitch. How would you like it if I would've called Becca what's her face?

M: Well I would think that would be a rude comment...

J: Exactly my point buddy, you don't like it when I don't call people by their names and I don't like it when you call people by their names. So if you don't want to get hyberbeam to the face syndrom then I'd stop calling her 'what's her face' and call her by her name of Emily.

M: Ok Jerome I'm sorry but anyway, can I tell you what Emily sent me to tell you now?

J: Ya sure what did she say?

M: She told me to tell you that she was sorry for yelling at you and she hopes you're still willing to talk to her about it and she hopes your're still her friend and all. She also said that she wants to stay here and live here full time; instead of paying a fee she said that she'll cook for us too!!

J: Really!? I mean*clears throat* really?

M: Oh I know what's going on here...YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON EMILY!!!!!!!!!!!

J:  OH COME ON MITCH REALLY? YOU KNOW I DON'T LIKE HER!!

M: JEROME YOU TOLD ME THAT EMILY HOOKED UP WITH SOMEONE BEFORE YOU AND AMANDA GOT TOGETHER!!

J: SO THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT...

M: YES IT DOES...YOU ONLY GOT WITH AMANDA TO 1UP EMILY DIDN'T YOU!?!?!?!

J: Maybe it does but, why would you care anyway?

M:  Maybe it's because I'm your friend Jerome.

*Jerome*

"Ya but..." Just as I looked up I saw a glipse of Emily sitting up against a wall upstairs either crying or ease dropping on our conversation. I hope she didn't come around early enough to hear Mitch rat me out about me hooking up with Amanda just to 1up to her.

*Emily*

I know jerome saw me as he said his last sentence because he looked directly at me. I won't tell him that i heard him admit to dating Amanda to 1up me and Ryne. I also hopes he realizes that everything I told Mitch to say was true and sincere. Just as I was about to go back to the guest room when the silence was broken.

*Jerome*

"Hey Emily, what did you hear of our conversation? And don't say that you did't hear any of it because I know that you did."

*Emily*

"All I heard was when you said 'maybe it does, but why do you care anyway or something like that. Anyway getting off the subject can I talk to you for a second like on the balcony?

*Jerome*

"OK good and sure." I walked upstairs to her and we walk outside onto the balcony.

*Emily*

"Why do you care what I heard of the conversation anyway? Is there something I'm not supposed to hear? If so then..." He kissed me...WHY did he kiss me? Was everything he said about liking me in his conversation with Mitch true?

*Jerome*

Yes she was in the middle of a sentence. Yes, she was about to give me a lecture. Yes, she probably didn't see it coming but guess what? It happend and if she liked it, GOOD, and if not then OK! I don't really know why I did it not knowing if her and Ryne were still together, and if she was dating anyone else. In a way I think she enjoyed it since she didn't push me away. 

*Emily*

After Jerome kissed me then I went into the guest room to fall asleep, the day felt like a plane flight so slow yet so fast. After about an hour of sleeping I woke up and saw Jerome on the opposite side of the bed asleep. I smiled a bit then whispered, "Goodnight love you!" into his ear and fell back asleep. Hopefully, everyday of me living here goes as well as today went!
