“Son!” My dad called, “you’re going to be late for school!” and I heard a slam at the door.

‘didn’t even wait to see if I even got up, great parenting dad.’ I thought, ‘oh well.’ I threw the covers off of myself and went into the bathroom to get ready for school. God how I hated that place, I mean it was supposed to get us ready for our future, but I already knew what I was going to do, I was going to sing.

And I know a lot of people say that its what they want to do and never get to accomplish it, but I knew that I would make it big, with the talent that I had I was a shoe in to get a deal quickly, but that dream is still a work in progress. I left the bathroom after showering and doing all my business, and grabbed my black skinnies and white V-neck.

The horn of the bus sounded and I rushed down the stairs and put the door, right towards the hell hole that is school.

“Mr. Walker!” I sat straight up in my seat and stared right at the huge planet sized stomach that belonged to my English Mrs. Reeds, “Ah, how wonderful for you to join the world of reality Mr. Walker.”

I yawned loudly to make the point that I was still barely there, “Sorry Mrs. Reeds.”

“Yes, you will be.” she…hissed? Wait hissed?

She was walking back towards the front of the class where there was something that I couldn’t read, you know dyslexia and all that, but I swear I saw one of her stubby little legs turn into something that looked like a donkey’s foot. I rubbed my eyes and looked again, but it was still that same stubby fat leg of hers, guess it was just my imagination.

the class went on and about halfway through class the door opened and a boy came in.

“yes, what is it?” Mrs. Reeds asked rudely, I always hated the witch, always picked on me too.

“uh, sorry to disturb your class ma’am, my name is Grover and I just transferred, I’m new to your class.” He looked at all of the kids, but his eyes stayed glued to me longer than anyone else’s.

“Very well, take that seat next to Demetrius.” She sighed and went back to writing.

“hi names Grover.” He said after getting himself situated.

I nodded to him not saying a word, I never got along with many people, so I didn’t even try any more.

Class went on and on for what seemed like forever, but then what last period didn’t?

And right before class ended Grover said silently, “be careful around her.” And he left.

‘what the heck was that supposed to mean?’ I shook my head and decided it wasn’t worth thinking over.

**

I decided to walk home today just so I could have a little privacy to myself, so I put in one of my ear buds and started to sing along to a trophy father’s trophy son by sleeping with sirens.

Father, Father, tell me where have you been?

Its been hell not having you here!

I’ve been missing you so bad

And you don’t seem to care,

When I go to sleep, at night

You’re not there!

“wow you’re really good.”

And I screamed, but not like usual, it sounded high pitched and feminine and when I did the glass windows from all the doors, and cars around us exploded.
