Chapter 11 - Silence is deadly

Mynx
I walked upstairs into my room. The name little princess engraved into the door making me laugh. "Love you too Lycan" I thought as I opened the door. Thr familiar smell of fresh lavander and hazelnuts hit me. I smile as I remember the memories of Jace, Ace, Lycan and I all messing around.

"Jace move it!" Ace yelled as we all raced upstairs to the room at the end of the hall. Instruments scattered all about the room. A grand piano off to the right. While the twisn ran off to the guitar and the drums, I went towards the piano. I started messing with the keys, trying to see if I could make a pretty song. I felt someone sit beside me and I watched as Lycan ran his fingers across the piano playing a beautiful song. "Wow Lycan" I said and he smiled. "I can teach you" he says and I giggle. "Really?" I ask and he nods his head. I hug him and thank him.

I spent years learning how to play that damn piano. I wonder if its still here! I race down the hall to the last room expecting to open the door to an empty room but it wasnt. The piano and the guitars were still here.

I closed the door behind me as I walked in and sat at the piano. I ran my hands gently over the keys. Lycan obviously spends alot of time here. Not a speck of dust was anywhere. I began pressing on the keys, playing the familiar song Lycan taught me centuries back. "Right from the start he lured me in. Took me to places I'd never been

That I'll never find a better man" I sung as my hands ran acorss the keys. "Am I that better man?" Lycan asked from the doorway.

I giggled, "totally Ly." I said as he walks in. "I'm surprised you still remember that song" he says and I shrug my shoulders,  "first one I ever learnt. Have you written anymore?" I asked remembering the softness of his voice.

He smiles and grabs the guitar. He hands me some lyrics. "Sing it with me?" He asks and I nod. I sit in the chair beside him as he begins strumming. "You start" he says and I smile. When the soft song echoed the halls, I had to go and see were it was coming from. It was beautiful. Mynx and Lycan made it beautiful. I leaned on the wall near the open door where the music was playing.

I closed my eyes and let it sink into every pore on my skin. The song reminds me of my home. My love for my family. Until it was all taken away from me. They don't even remember me.

The music stopped an I was about to go when a voice told me to stop. I straightened and turned to Mynx and Lycan. "Is there something you want?" Mynx asked crossing her arms over her chest.

I shook my head. "...no. Just that the um...you...the song was beautiful..." I stuttered and tried to avoid their gaze. I looked up and found Mynx smiling. But not her evil smile she always has on, but a nice kind smile. "Thank you." She said. She said thank you!

I nodded and was about to walk away when her face hardened. "Is there a reason we told you to leave your bedroom?" She snapped. Okay, okay what the actual fuck is wrong with this chick. She was nice just a minute ago. "What's wrong with you!" I yelled at her. I was angry. I tried to be nice and she just gets all pissed for no reason. "Shut up human." She hissed.

Lycan put a hand on her shoulder, indicating to stop. She growled and headed downstairs. I turned my foot and was headed to the bedroom. Before I could slam the door a foot stopped it. I stepped back and watched Lycan prowl in.

His gaze was hard and cold. He shut the door and cornered me. His eyes were on my neck. Did he want to bite me? Lycan got close. I placed my palms flat against the wall and watched him wide eyed.

He touched my pulse and leaned down. He licked the sensitive spot. I whined. Just before he bit down he growled and pulled away. "I would obey our every word for now on." He said and left me standing against the wall shaken. Maybe he's right. Maybe I need to obey.

But I'm stubborn.
