I curl up in a corner,
Rocking back and forth,
Whispering "everything's going to be ok."
Watching as my parents fight,
Ear drums busting at the screaming
Knowing this ain't right.
Daddy drags mamma to the stairs,
Giving her a shove,
Which leaves her body at the foot of the stairs.
I hold my doll tight,
Teeth chattering,
Waiting for my knight.
Daddy runs down the stairs,
Snickering,
Calling mamma a useless bitch.
I cry my eyes out,
Knowing this will end badly
With out a doubt.
Mamma lifts herself off the ground,
Clutching her stomach,
Holding back her tears.
She keeps her head high,
Staring into my daddy's eyes,
Knowing this isn't her time to die.
I cry in the corner,
Hoping this will be over,
Wanting my fucking daddy dead.
