These two creatures that you would usually see in a fairy tale flew Aallel far from his home, rising higher into the sky. They flew him up past several white, fluffy looking, clouds. Aallel didn't attempt to struggle against them. He started to feel as if he really didn't care any more. Hearing that his family was dead felt unreal to him. He just couldn't see how it was even possible. Why was his family dead?
Why did it have to be his family?
He loved his two siblings. They were annoying at times, but the three of them would always do things together. They would watch T.V. or movies, play games, draw, create silly stories, and just other things they found to be fun. He loved his parents. They cared for him and his two siblings. They loved the three of them a lot. His parents would provide all the things Aallel and his siblings needed and they would get some of the things they wanted. They all had fun, celebrating birthdays, holidays, or just going on small vacations together.
It's gone now. All those fun times can never happen again. They've only become memories that Aallel can't stop thinking about.
"We bring him to his room first right?" Aallel heard the voice of the white-haired girl speak.
"Yeah," The other one had replied.
Aallel was just letting his head hang while he was being carried. He shifted his gaze up a little bit and then he started to move his head up to get a better look. There were buildings that looked like they were old, medieval structues. They all seemed to be castle-like to Aallel. They were all on clouds, but the clouds looked like they were solid ground with a bit of fog just above this weird cloud ground that was probably about ankle deep.
As he was carried over these buildings, he observed the way the buildings looked. They seemed like they were old kinds of buildings, but were almost freshly built. Aallel also watched some of the creatures that were walking around. All of them looked like the two creatures who were carrying him. They had wings, tails, and those weird things that seemed like they were ears. There were variations among them though. For example, some had feathers and others had fur. Some had webbed ears and there were others who had long, almost elvish, looking ears. There was one thing Aallel noticed on each person. Every one he had seen so far had scales. The other features like fur and feathers were just sticking out between each person's scales.
Aallel wasn't thinking of his family as much as before as he watched all of these fantasy beings. He felt really curious of them. He was wondering why they existed and why they live up here in the clouds. How do they all act? Are they like humans? Do they have feelings? Are their feelings the same as a human's? What do they eat? What do they do for fun? How do they live or what's their way of life?
The two half human creatures carried Aallel until they reached a larger building. It was bigger than all the other buildings he could see, maybe about three times bigger. He was able to tell that they flying him towards that building. Aallel looked slightly up at the girl who held onto one of his arms, then to the boy who held his other arm. He then looked down, kind of wishing they would just drop him.
"Hey... How did you know my name...?" Aallel asked mainly the white haired girl, remembering she had used his name while they were at his home.
"Because we had the information," She replied, not even looking down at him.
He sighed and let his head hang, "So you guys are some kind of stalkers then, right?"
He felt a sudden punch in his side, causing him to flinch. It came from the side that the boy was holding him. It didn't seem like he was really trying to hurt Aallel with that punch, but it definitely wasn't like a soft pillow either.
"W-What was that for?!" Aallel glared up at the boy and started to kick his legs around, "I didn't do anything wrong."
He looked down at Aallel for a moment with eyes that felt like they were sending daggers towards him. Then he just shrugged, "You were annoying me. You're just so uninformed."
"WELL THEN INFORM ME!!!!!" Aallel was squirming and kicking around a lot more, feeling so frustrated and confused.
The first response he got was a laugh. He looked up at the boy, watching his face, seeing he was the one to laugh, "We're not allowed to inform you of anything more than what we have already said," He lowered his head and it seemed like, at least to Aallel, that he was glaring a little bit towards the largest building they were heading for, "Only at a specific time and date may you really be informed. And the person who will inform you is our queen."
Aallel blinked up at him, "Queen...? You guys have a queen...?"
This blue-purple eyed male just looked down at Aallel, giving him a look that felt like it was almost calling him an idiot. 'You must really be an idiot... I did just say, 'our' didn't I? Were you just not listening closely to me?' The boy with the blue-purple eyes turned from Aallel, looking back at the large building, smirking to himself.
Aallel only pouted and looked towards the building as well, only realizing that they were really pretty much already right at the front door of this place. As the two flew down towards solid ground again, Aallel's head kept moving up, his eyes focusing on the very top of the building. It made him feel a little small to be standing right next to something like this.
He hadn't noticed, but the white haired female had already started walking towards the wooden door, pulling it open. The other guy had given Aallel a little push, urging him to move forward and walk through the door. He looked all around at everything before he actually walking into the building.
They only walked down a short hall, with the girl leading. There were some paintings on the wall, that weren't really much different compared to what you would see in homes or maybe a museum on Azari. There were also small table with vases of different sizes and different decorations. When they passed all of this, they found their way into a large circular room. At the far end was a long table with several people seated at it. Aallel noticed that all along the walls, there were doors. They were open and he could see that they were all hallways too. Through the ones nearest him, he could see other closed doors along the sides of the halls.
"It's time to meet our queen now..." The white haired girl started, turning slightly towards Aallel.
When she had said this, one person, whose back faced them, turned their head slightly in their direction. It was hard to tell, but it seemed like Aallel could see a small smirk form on the person's face.
"...Azari."
