I woke today with a struggle. What's the point of getting out of bed it's just going to be the same routine over and over again. My parents been fighting for about 3 months. I get out of bed and i look in my closet and I get a crop top and a cardigan with some black jeans. I get ready and put my shoes on. I put my hair in a messy bun and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I hear my parents fighting again. I wouldn't be surprised if they got divorced. I skipped breakfast and headed to my bus stop. The first couple of periods were okay. There was no sign of them stupid girls that I hate so much. I went the hole day think about my parents and how they fight all the time. Who would I even go with? I couldn't just stay alone I'm only 16 two more years and I could leave. What if I just run away? That wouldn't be so bad. " there's the little slut" I heard Someone say ruining my thinking. I turn around to see Carly and her two puppies Amber and Stacey. "What do you want Carly?" I say. " it's so funny how you think you actually look cute with that crop top" Carly says as Amber and Stacey laugh. "I wasn- " I got cut off as I heard Carly's boyfriend Erick came " hey babe." She looks at me and smirks be for she starts talking she kisses him. " hello love" she says. It's ironic that she did that bc I've had a crush on him since the 6th grade. The last period bell rang and I went home but none was there. I sent the whole night alone at home. It was like about 3am when I heard a loud noise so I run downstairs to see what It was. My was drink and she was tripping everywhere so I helped her to her room. The rest of the night was long and silent. I wake up it's Saturday so I have no school. I look at my phone to see a message from my guy best friend, Kevin.
Kev: hey hoe
Me:hey slut
Kev: wanna chill today?
Me : sure let me get
Ready come get me
At 12
Kev: okay
I got up and took a shower. I put one a black undershirt and some gray skinny jeans. I went to go brush my teeth and then I brushed my hair and put it in a ponytail. I heard him honk so I ran to my room and graved my phone and put on a black hoodie. I got in the car and put my seatbelt on.
"Nice hoodie" he said laughing since the hoodie was his that he let me use like 2 years ago. I laugh. " thanks it's a nice one too" he looks at me with a silly face and keeps his eyes on the rode. " were we heading to." I say with a curious voice. He lifts he eyebrow. " we are going to get some food bc I don't want you to starve and die." He says in a playful voice. I laugh. " good bc I think I was gonna die pretty soon bc I'm hungry as fuck." I say laughing. We get get in to Dennie's the restaurant. We take our seats. I look at the menu and smile. " what you getting I say." " I don't know maybe some pancakes." He replies. " I'll get that too I say" we order and wait. " So how's your parents." He asks. " same as last month." " Damn emi they really need help." " I know I wish they would go to therapy but they just don't. All they do is fight." I say in a soft voice. ". Well maybe they will work things out soon." He says. " I hope so kev bc idk what I should do." "There's nothing much you can do emi, all you can do is wait till they stop." He says nicely. We get our food and ate. We got to his house and I sat on the couch. "Wanna play Xbox?" He says. "Sure." I say not really wanting to play because I don't really play I suck. We played for about an hour. My phone buzzes.
Mom: get home now.
Me: okay.
"Kevin I have to leave." I say in a sad voice." "Okay I'll take you home."
We get to my place and I unbuckle my seatbelt. " thanks." "No problem I'll text you when I get home hoe." He says laughing. "Bye bitch." I say laughing." "Bye!" He said laughing.
I get in the house. "Where have you been all day Emily!" My mom shouts."I was with Kevin at his house." I say softly. "Your such a slut Emily you go around have sex with that boy all the time I wouldn't be surprised if you end up pregnant." She says. "I wasn't having sex with anyone and I have never had sex with anyone!" I say loudly. She smacks me. "Clean this house now!" I knew she was drunk. "Becky get back to the room!" I hear a voice say. It was a guys voice that I didn't recognize. I finished cleaning the house and i was walking to my room when I see a guy threw the crack on my moms door he was in the bed and my mom must have been in the restroom. I shake my head and run to my room.
I start to cry on my bed. How could she be cheating on my dad. How? I call Kevin. " hello?" "Kevin i need you to come to my house." I say with my cracked voice. 10 minutes later I hear a knock at my balcony door. " what's wrong?" Kevin says with a soft look in his eyes. "My mom is cheating on my dad." I say crying. "What the fuck how do you know For sure?" "I saw some guy in my moms bed." I say sobbing. He hugs me. "I'm so sorry Emily." "I'll stay the night here if you want me to." I smile and hug him tighter. "Okay" I say with a soft voice. It was only 9:00 pm my das comes home around 10:30pm. I went to the restroom and got into my sleeping clothes and brushed my teeth. I was walking back to my room when I seen the guy hitting my mom. I ran to my room. " Kevin he's hitting my mom!" I say. Kevin hops out the bed and looks at me. "Ima go stop him!" He says. He runs to her room and pulls the guy back. "Get the hell off of her!" Kevin yells as he grabs the guy off of my mom. I was at the door crying my eyes out. The guy leaves and Kevin cleans the blood off of my mom and I help as well. We put her into the bed. "Thank you." She said shyly. "No problem." Kevin says. I was kissed my moms head and she turned around not facing me. I looked down sadly and went back to my room with Kevin. My dad had came in the house I heard the front door open. " I'll hid." Kevin says laughing bc my dad wouldn't allow a guy to be in my room even if he's only my best friend. I go downstairs to the living room and see my dad In the kitchen drinking some water. "Hi dad." "Hi sweetie." He says softly. "How was work?" I say trying to make conversation. "Good good." He says making a sandwich. "Where's your mom?" He asks me. I didn't know if I should tell him that mom was cheating on him and that the guy hit her. I swallow and bite down on my bottom lip. "Sh-she's in her... room." I say like if I was scared. "Oh okay." He says and I'm pretty sure he noticed how awkward that was. He smiles and kisses my forehead and walks up the stairs. I go to my room and close and lock the door. Kevin get out the closet. "Is it clear now caption." He says in a playful voice. "All clear." I say laughing. We talk all night about random things. Then it got silent. " buzzzz buzzzz" I hear a phone buz. I open my eyes and look at Kevin. He was still asleep. "Kevin?" A say softly. His eyes flutter open. He smiles. " good morning." " your phone was buzzing." I say. He graves his phone and then he looks at me. "I have to go." He says. "Now?" I ask sadly. "Yes I kinda have to, my mom needs me to help her move some things around the house." He says. "Okay." I say with a smile. He gets up and I get up as well. "Can I use the front door?" He asks. "Yes" I say laughing. He leaves and I go up to my room. I lay back down. I feel safer when I'm around him. I hate being alone. I hear my mom and dad arguing.
"I want this divorce!" I hear my dad say loudly. "But Chris I love you.. you can't leave me." My mom says sobbing. "How can you love me when you cheated on me? That's not love Becky." I feel the warm tears on my cheeks.
"I'm leaving tomorrow morning as soon as I make sure all my things are packed." My dads voice says cracked. "Please...." my mom says softly. "Sorry can't fix this marriage." My dad says. I cry and cry and cry wishing Kevin was here to make me laugh. I text him.
Me: Kevin?
Kev: yes?
Me: I need you😔
Kev: what's wrong😔?
Me: call me ?
Kev:okay.
We talk for hours and I explained to him what I heard and he gave me advice he made me laugh. It was already 7pm and I spent the whole day talking on the phone with him. I went to sleep at 9 bc it's Sunday and I have school tomorrow.
