Friends or more than friends?

Two weeks later..
Selena's POV
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez an official couple?
All I've been hearing since yesterday. Justin and I had went to the beach recently to celebrate New Years with friends. I mean he's my best friend, I wanted to spend some time with him, of course. I didn't know why they were making it a bigger deal. Don't they know him and I are close friends?
I was heading to a meeting until my friend Alfredo rushed to catch my attention.
"Selena, hold up!"
"Oh hey Fredo! It's been a while since we've spoke.What's up?" He seemed so shook about something..
"Just wanted to check up on yuh too, how's everything? Oh and yes I'm good"
"I'm a bit annoyed, but I'm fine" I smiled, assuring I was alright.
"You heard whats been going around, right?"
I sighed "Yep.."
"Are you guys dating already?!" Fredo asked. He acts like we actually have a thing for each other.
"Noo" I simply say.
"What?? Then what's with all the touching?! Ha but ok ok if u say so"
"We're just friends. Nothing more." I leave it at that and head to the meeting,
"I'll talk to you later, Fredo!"

Justin's POV
"WAKE UP!" Ryan yells
I growl and roll out of my bed. I couldn't sleep last night. I couldn't get a hold of Selena. She didn't answer any of my messages or calls. What happened? Did I upset her? Is she overwhelmed with all this news? The same questions circled around my mind.
Ryan had ordered some breakfast for us, we were staying at a hotel for a while.
"So.. " Ryan interrupts the silence as we ate
"Whatchu thinking about Huh?" He questions at my blankness
"What?"
"You're daydreaming bro.. You've been so quite, it's creeping me out" he laughs
"Oh I don't know I guess I'm just not in the mood"
"You thinking about that Selena girl again?"
I finally look up at him
"No. She's been acting different. I'm worried"
"Exactly. So you are thinking about her"
Ok he got me. I am. Of course I am.
"Well" I say, trying to hide it
"Dude, why don't you just ask her out? You literally want everything to do with her!  You can't stop thinking about her, you stare at her like she's everything to you, you protect her and stuff. Bro just do it!!"
He's my best friend. Of course he would figure it out. I give in and smile. He's right. The thought of her being more than a friend brought me this bubbly feeling in my chest.
"What if she doesn't feel the same about me? I mean, she puts me on the friend zone every time I try to go for it! I'm her "little brother" remember?!"
"Hahaha oh right or maybe she's just hiding her feelings. You won't know until you open up to her about this.."
I actually agreed with him. This might be hard but fuck, how can I not take my chances?
