Hong Yan Jing stepped out and she instantly covered her mouth at the sight she saw. The sacred temple of these people, stained with blood. And in the center of the room was the source, three bodies piled on top of one another.
Jing heard Kyle scream and she ran over to Rachel. She held her friend tight in her arms.
"R-rachel! Rachel, are you okay?!"
Rachel opened her eyes and looked at Kyle.
"Kyle...I did hemokinesis...can you believe it?"
Kyle gave a proud smile.
"Y-you did? Awesome...we should leave your moms a letter...they'd be proud."
Rachel gave a nod and a big, toothy smile, not bothering to hide her fangs at all.
"Are you gonna be okay?" Kyle asked.
"I'm going to be fine, I just need some rest and maybe some blood."
Her eyes suddenly softened as her smile contorted into a frown.
"But you, on the other hand...you look like hell."
Kyle closed her eyes and pressed her head against Rachel's chest.
"We can get Nola." She said, simply.
Hong Yan Jing felt odd watching the scene.
"U-um...who's Nola?" She asked.
Rachel turned her attention to Hong Yan Jing and, with a plastic smile, said "Someone who can help. Nevermind. The fires are still burning, you should go help put them out. I'll make sure Kyle's alright."
Jing gave a nod of affirmation and then sprinted out. The humans had already used buckets to put out what fires they could, but with a wind yokai boosting their efforts they'd have the city fires under control in no time. Then, maybe, at last, she could go home.

Rachel just held Kyle tightly in her arms, feeling her warmth.
"C'mon Kyle. You know you're the only one who can use the cloth. Wake up and take us home." She said.
Kyle gave a little moan of a sound
"But I'm tired and I wanna stay like thiiis."
Her voice was intentionally drawn out and childish sounding. She reached into the cloth and pulled out the black cat from the cloth and set her down.
'Good god what have you two been doing.' She asked.
"Talk later. Heal now please."
Nola let out a meow that sounded awfully like a sigh and put her paws together before putting them on Kyle. Suddenly, Kyle's burns began to bubble over and grow, filling themselves out with healed flesh. The knife wound in her shoulder also sucked blood in itself as the bone healed. She let out a relieved sigh.
"Thanks Nola."
Nola meowed. 'So, I'm assuming you guys are coming back to Magicant.'
Kyle nodded.
"We'll leave this place in Hong Yan Jing's hands..." She said.
Nola shrugged - or shrugged as much as a cat could - and strolled back into the cloth.
"Let's go." Rachel said.
And the two girls slid into the cloth, leaving this world behind.

It took 2 hours to put everything out completely, but once the city was safe Hong Yan Jing made a point of finding someone with medical knowledge. An elderly woman with brown eyes, scruff black hair, and dressed in the only white Cheongsam in all of China tonight - though Jing later found out it was because she had changed out of her previous one which had been burned in the fires.
"You have to help, my friends are injured." She said. "Please help."
"The blond and the red haired one? They did a great deal to help, please, take me to them."
So she led her over the hill and to the temple, where the now cracked statue of the Laughing Buddha witnessed everything that had gone on in there that night. What they didn't witness now, however, was either of the girls. Rachel and Kyle had both vanished. However, now alive and conscious, one of the twins was awake - Tai Lam.
Hong Yan Jing instantly readied her fan, perfectly prepared to take away however many lives the assassin had left.
Tai Lam, however, raised her hands in surrender.
"Is Shen Yanlin dead?"
Jing looked off to the side, remembering watching Kyle step on his head multiple times. She took in a heavy gulp of air, before answering.
"Very."
Tai Lam gave a smile as her eyes began to glisten.
"I...I am very sorry...you have no reason to forgive us...but please, understand, that man has taken many things from me. My mother, my father and my lover. Now, he takes my brother. To hear I'm finally free..."
She scooted over on her knees to Tai Lam and prostrated herself towards her.
"Thank you...to you, and your noble friends..."
Jing blushed a little and found herself rubbing the back of her head as she waved her hand for Tai Lam to stand.
"Could you tell us where they went?"
Her eyes went wide.
"You mean, you do not know?"
Hong Yan Jing gave a solemn nod as a frown creeped across her face.
"They were injured, and I left them here...did they not tell you where they were going?"
"No...they were not here when I awoke."
Tai Lam frowned as well and finally sat herself back up right.
"Well." Said the elderly woman. "If they're not here, then there's nothing I can do to help them. But I can help you, Phoenix Warrior. Especially if redemption is what you seek."
Tai Lam gave a nod.
"I'd like that very much."
