My happiness was never
in the way you smiled
or the way your eyes lit up
when you saw me
My happiness was In the laughs
and photos we captured
there was never real happiness in this relationship
only regret
The smile that filled out my cheeks
was as fake As can be
And the holding hands
we let go soon after we captured the photo
and no matter how hard i tried
and how persistent I was for this
so called love to be real
it never was
and my heart still aches this very day
while looking at old pictures
on my flip phone
of us smiling those fake smiles
and spreading this lost hope for so called
"relationship goals"
but now you can see the happiness is real
with that boy who seems to beam my smile
brighter than I could imagine
this is real
and my happiness lays upon his hands
and he carried it
like it was
The most precious piece of art work
known to man
