~12 years later~
Levi's POV"We can continue training later, YOU have been doing very well!" I stated as I looked to my 17 year old daughter. She smiled, "hey, I've been taught by the best!" She then threw her arms around me. "I love you dad.", "I love you too Kat". "ACKERMAN!". I sighed and released my daughter. "yes Erwin!?". My face soon held an unpleasant frown. It's always Smith to ruin the moments I want to cherish. Cherish. A word I think of whenever I'm with my daughter. I want to cherish every moment with her! I never know when I could lose my little girl. I doubt I'll lose her soon though, I've trained her well. "LEVI!". I snapped back into reality. I cleared my throat. "Sorry sir, yes?". Erwin sighed. "Did you tell Hanji about our upcoming mission!?"."mission?". I looked back at Kat. "Yes Kat a mission. It's not a major one! But you know, it's still a mission." Where the HELL was I suppose to go with that!?
Kat's POV
Mission. I have never heard that word since I've joined the Survey corps. Father never spoke about them. He never said a word. I feel clueless now. What else hasn't he told me? The rest of the conversation between the two higher ups began to fade out. I was soon lost in my own thoughts.
Mission? I wonder...do the new cadets here about this at the first briefing? I doubt it......I highly doubt it...or father would've told me....what if he worries about me? Is that the reason? I was soon snapped out of my own thoughts. "KAT ACKERMAN!". I shook my head and gave a salute towards Erwin smith. "Yes sir?!". He sighed and gave me an annoyed look. "She's just as bad as you Levi!" He turned on his heels and walked back towards HQ. I gave my father a questioning look. He frowned and shook his head. My father then began to smile. I noticed he rarely smiles anymore. He only smiles around me and a few other people. Not so much the cadets.Levi's POV
I grabbed my daughters hand and began to head back to Hq. Kat proceeded to speak to me. One question spilt from her mouth. One question I wasn't sure how to answer. "Father, can I go with you on the mission?" Shit. I didn't tell her for a reason. Her mother died on a mission. It was one of the worst nights of my life.
~Flashback~
(because I'm cheesy like that XP)The titan was gaining on us. I look towards my wife. Her blonde hair flowing in the wind as she rode in the opposite direction of the titan. She glanced at me and smiled for a split second before frowning. "Levi!!" Everything happened so quickly. All of a sudden I see my lovely wife jump behind me to block the titans hand from grabbing me. Everything was soon in slow motion.
My wife was soon grabbed and lifted towards the titans mouth. It's like I had no time to react. By the time I was getting ready to kill the titan. It had bitten my wife in half. There was blood everywhere. All I could was stare. No matter how many times Mike or Petra called my name. I couldn't seem to believe my wife just died right before my eyes. The only family I had left was my baby. The one I had trusted Hanji to take care of. My little Kat...Ok I guess that wasn't too bad? It's okay...I guess....anywho what did you guys think?
