The next morning, Niall's arms are still wrapped tightly around me. I smile as I look at him. "He's really cute when he sleeps," I think to myself. I look at him. His hair is sticking up in places and his lips are curled. As I'm looking at him, he wakes up. I quickly turn away. He yawns. "Take a picture, it'll last longer," he says smiling in a low, raspy voice. I giggle. I look at the time. "Babe! We're gonna be late to school!" Niall pulls a white shirt, black hoodie, jeans, shoes, and a SnapBack on, and drives me to my house.
I run in and put on a sweatshirt, jeans, and my blue vans. I go to the bathroom and brush out my hair. Since my hair is naturally straight, it looked fine. I grabbed my book bag and my phone and rushed out to Niall's car. He drives us to school. We walk to our first class and sit down. The first person I see, Austin. I instantly feel tears sting my eyes. I run out of the classroom and sit down by my locker. I start crying instantly. I hear the door open. I feel an arm go around my shoulder and I look up.
"Niall.." I say, my voice shaking.
"Hails, are you ok princess?" Niall says.
I sniffle and wipe my eyes. "It's just.. Austin forgot my birthday.." I start crying again.
Niall pulls me onto his lap and I bury my head in his shoulder. He rubs my back. I sniffle. "I'm ready to go back in.." Niall takes my hand and leads us back to the classroom.
AUSTIN'S POV
God I feel terrible. I ruined my relationship with my best friend. She probably hates me. I need to fix this.
HAILEY'S POV
The day finally ends and I walk to Niall's car with him. I climb in the passengers seat and he drives to my house. I walk in and I lay on the couch. He walks to the kitchen and comes back with some water and aspirin. "Just incase you have a headache baby," Niall said. "I smile weakly.
"Thanks Nialler.." He plants a swift kiss on the top of my head and puts in a movie for us.
AUSTIN'S POV
It's time. I'm going to go apologize to Hailey. I hope she'll forgive me. I just want her friendship back.
HAILEY'S POV
As the movie's going, I hear the doorbell ring. I get up and walk to the door. I open it and I see... "Austin?" I say meekly. "Hailey.. Can I talk to you?" "Yes.." He walks into the living room and I sit down next to Niall. "I'll leave you two to talk." Niall whispers in my ear. He plants a kiss on my cheek and walks out. "Hailey, I'm sorry. I have been an asshole. I wasn't in my right mind when I punched Niall. It was a spur of the moment. You guys are my best friends and I don't want to lose that relationship," A tear falls down my cheek.
I get up and I hug Austin tightly. He hugs me back and I say. "I forgive you Austin," "Oh by the way, happy birthday," Austin whispers in my ear. He hands me a card. I open it and there's a picture of Niall, Austin, and I when we were little. I smile. "Austin this is amazing," He smiles. I call Niall to come over and Austin apologizes to him as well. I've got my best friend back.
